Where'd you see that they ship tomorrow? That'd be amazing!

honestly i thought it was a joke. i thought people were bidding me up just to bail. i feel like not even a year ago my local store had three of these on clearance. i picked up the extra two for VCers at cost. it's still crazy to me that it was even above $50 because rarely do the secondhand prices skyrocket like that overnight.
Yeah, I paid $65 for my white vinyl Act III a few weeks back...considering it's apparently way more valuable than that, I don't feel bad about the purchase now that they were finally reissued. I'll just spin Act III from the bundle while looking at the artwork from the white vinyl Act III

While I agree with everyone that the artwork isn't what I'd hoped for...it's Casey's choice. I think that's what everyone forgets when the complaining starts...that it's his music, his art, and his decision. I own Act 3 (white vinyl) and love it but given the apparent rarity I'll hold on to it and spin this new set instead. 6 180 gram LPs for $60? Shut up and take my money.
Also: I bet the person who spent $200 on act 3 and the other who spent $200 or $250 on Act 1+2 recently on Ebay are probably really pissed right now...

I thought it might be fun to share stupid/funny moments we've had when we first discovered vinyl records and weren't as knowledgable as we are now. Here's mine:
About two weeks after I developed a passion for vinyl, I ran across an excellent condition copy of The Beatles' 'Yesterday and Today' at a garage sale for $5. Not knowing that the cover art back then was often pasted on (it was visible that the art was pasted on), I thought for a few days that I had purchased a Butcher cover album with a paste-over. Needless to say a quick showing of it to a knowledgable friend killed that pretty quickly...though I guess $5 for an excellent condition copy of the album is still a steal.
What's yours?
