Hey Travis, we'll still be able to use free ship to store for vinyl we buy online even when stores stop selling vinyl, right?

I'm a little disappointed but I understand why they wouldn't and it's not that big of a deal. My store always took good care of vinyl, but I honestly mostly used the free ship to store for things I really wanted to make sure they didn't sell out, but I would definitely impulse buy things I would see in store and sometimes I would find things in store that were sold out online, so I'll miss that.

Guess I'll throw this out there, if anybody stumbles on the HT exclusive for Anberlin's "Lowborn", I'm kinda interested. Would like to get it around normal "cost" and not eBay prices as I hear the quality isn't the greatest.

Random, but is anyone else dying for Anberlin represses? The band said at one point they would release a box set, but it never happened.

Travis has an Excel document where he logs how many requests for an album he gets in this thread.  When the tally reaches 250, then he knows that Hot Topic will be able to press the 800 copies necessary for a release (estimated 250 will be sold to VCers, 150 to regular non-VC shoppers, and the rest go to lazylabradorrecords on eBay).  So, if you've been clamoring for an ETID repress but not seeing any change or progress it is likely because its the same few posters asking for it and not 250 different posters.

In that case, I'd love to see a repress of Every Time I Die's "New Junk Aesthetic" and "Gutter Phenomenon".

My store (Gainesville, FL) has had the same decent-sized vinyl rack since they started carrying vinyl a few years ago and I've never had a problem with in-store vinyl or ship to store being damaged. I guess it has a lot to do with the employees and management in each store.

My local HT was doing a sale today where anything you could fit in a tote bag you got 30% off of, including vinyl. Since totes are the perfect size for records, I bought like ten since they had all of the new releases.

Picked up this the other day and relieved to see it came with a CD and lyric sheet. Anyone else salty about Rise Records releases / reissues recently not including a CD / download code or at the very least a lyric sheet? I mean, some like the recent TDWP - Dear Love / Plagues and Tides of Man - Dreamhouse I've owned on CD for years, but for others I've been waiting for the vinyl reissue so never bought a digital copy. And at the very least I just like having a lyric insert when listening to records because that's how I do, even if I know the lyrics.

Saw that after I posted this. Wasn't sure if the correct protocol for a reissue was to start a new thread or post in the original preorder thread or if it even matters.

Frameworks’ "Small Victories", originally released in 2013 by 13th Floor Records, is being reissued by Topshelf. This new run is limited to 519 copies on bone vinyl, 309 copies on oxblood and on pink vinyl, limited to 204.

Nowhere does it say that you get a notification at midnight, not sure where you heard this, sorry. That's not actually how this works. You didn't get it 12 hours late, you got it exactly on time, as intended: exactly when the pre-orders went up. No Heads up, no head starts, no anticipation. That's as "fair" as it gets in my opinion.

Doesn't matter I guess since I ended up being able to find all the variants I needed, but I remember checking my email at 7 AM before heading to work at 8 that day, then taking my break at 12 PM thinking preorders might go up then and nothing, then getting off at 4 PM and /100 variant being sold out already. The reason I thought I got the email 12 hours late is even though I probably got the email at 1 PM while I was working, for some reason the time stamp on the email said 1 AM so I was assuming that's when everyone else got the email and why it sold out so fast.

We totally gave warning tho, posted a teaser last week

Thought the teaser was more related to a tour than vinyl, plus I thought there would be more time between the tease & announcement
