From Virgil,
"I wish them good luck. That said, I plan to continue putting out records with Suburban Home and have no plans to abandon my plans to put out records for the Under the Influence 7" series, the Vinyl Cooperative label, and Suburban Home. Stay tuned, I have some more changes to announce in the coming months."
So (theoretically) no one is out money. I'm not counting it one way or the other but at least he's not claiming to cut and run.
Thanks! I was just about to post that as well. The Coop, In The Red ETC... will still be through Virgil/ Suburban Home.
fingers crossed!

probably closed for winter holiday?!
I am pretty sure, they will help you out...it is awesome mailorder/label

You can use your line-in to rip, but it's going to sound like shit. Unless you own a really nice soundcard, in which case you are probably the kind of person who can figure out a better way to rip vinyl than through a 1/8" jack.
The one x43x posted looks good. I've also heard good things about the Pro-ject USB preamp: http://www.needledoctor.com/Pro-Ject-Phono-Box-USB-Phono-Preamp?sc=2&category=35467
yeah I am using that one...works fine with my mac...cutting recorded stuff is kind of boring....especially if you do like 10-20 records....but well....my own decision....

true!Chuck belting the beginning of True Believers... Worth every penny. -
for the US...mh don´t know ...I guess you´ll get over there online.....Still I would recommend visiting stores with a good selection of different brands.....

I have a Marantz SR6004 B
7 x 110 Watt / 8 Ohm RMS
Dolby TrueHD, DTS HD
Dolby Pro-Logic IIz
M-DAX
Audyssey Dynamic EQ und Dynamic Volume
It´s perfect for TV/DVD/BR / PS3 but is also has a very good stereo sound.....
I am useing that for my mp3 music....
for records I use this setup
Projetct III with a Dynavox VR-70E and Dali Speakers...
I can´t recommend Harmann & Kardon at all...but most stores have them around here.... .......the quality is pretty shitty....
speakers : Dali speakers (punk/metal,rock) but that is a personal taste.....it would be always the best thing to go somewhere , bring your music along and give it a try directly in the store...
