I ordered a 12" Arcade Fire record and my turntable says it plays 10 and 20" records... It should be able to play right?

I found it via google -
I just got the briefcase Electrohome Archer Turntable and my never-touched record skips like crazy and no other records do. On my turntable there aren't any pressure or anti-skating options. Should I ask for a refund or is there something I can do to make it work?
