I wanted that Ripley shirt but the screening sold out for me. Everything else is meh for me so my wallet is happy.

 I managed the Far Cry soundtrack so here is hoping.

Anyone else get their candyman soundtrack in a big unpadded box? I just got the box yesterday and its a dual gatefold. No markings on run but it was the transparent yellow. I'm shocked the jacket only had one ding considering how they shipped it. Anyways...heads up to those who preordered many moons ago...

Mine arrived bubble wrapped inside the box. I got 300 something out of 500 and it was the black and yellow one. I haven't had a chance to listen to it yet. 

Secret Truth is still in transit to me (the lathe guy was out of town last week). There was a count of heads of anyone who was interested when I first made the thread, hopefully you were in the first 15! Silent Hill will be the fourth release and I will do about 60 copies since I know there will be a high level of interest. So far I've sold 2 copies of the Blake Mackey 3" CD. Slow start, but I am happy there is some interest in the release nonetheless. Also, I am absolutely, positively certain that the Silent Hill tape will now OFFICIALLY be Silent Hill 2. It's just a more masterful score. I did a test tape of it and it's much fuller and richer than the first SH OST.

I will for sure grab a SH OST from you because I love the games and I think I counted 15 for Secret Truth so they may be all sold but if someone cancels, I would love one. I liked what I heard on the site.

Do you have any left of The Secret Truth and Silent Hill or did I miss out on them?

Just a general question to anyone frequenting this thread, but if I fund a release of the original Silent Hill OST on colored tape with possible original artwork would anyone be down to buy a copy? I can't fund a 12" right now, but a cassette is totally possible. I want to do a run of 100 and want to make sure that they all have homes if I do. Please let me know. I am 100% serious about this.

I would for sure buy one!! 

So far the only thing I want from this first batch is the 10" Garbage... my 15 year old self will be happy but also I feel like this is something I could just stroll into my record store in the afternoon.

I love film score albums and there are a few OST I can listen to all the time. GOTG is one of them. I wasn't expecting it. I have it both on tape, LP, and digital. 

Gah! I can't believe I didn't know about the Zelda soundtrack! This makes me sad.

Let us ignore my stupidity on that.. usually folks ship the entire thing back and get another copy.  

There's a few goodwills in San Francisco but there is one huge one downtown and you have to get there when it opens or it's picked through by 11am.

Also, these shops have taken everything "worth something" and put them in a nice glass case at this main store or placed it online. They had thriller once in a glass case with a page printed out from ebay where someone was selling it for $70. They wanted $50.

I mainly hit goodwills for Disney records. I found Song of the South LP in their bin for $1.25

I got it today. It's cute and the stupid song grew on me. 

I'm all for the C.H.U.D release but I know nothing of the other three listed and I can't drop almost 200 bucks right now. Bah! 

My Batman records arrived today!! I can't wait to open them.

2. It's part of the white-hot Marvel franchise.

 

3. Cassettes, formerly only embraced by the DIY community, are coming around and becoming trendy again (see: Cassette Store Day, Ty Segall tapes, etc).

 

4. It's marketed as "limited edition."

 

5. It's marketed as part of Record Store Day - Black Friday.

 

6. The music on it isn't half bad.

 

7. It greatly resembles a prop from the film, so beyond the music it's a nice conversation piece.

 

8. It's the sort of item that got non-record collectors into stores to hunt down; record collectors are competing with casual and/or non-collectors for this item.

 

9. It's the first cassette Disney has manufactured since the early 90s, so I'm sure there's some crazy Disney collectors who want it just for that.

I love the music, I still own and play cassettes, and of course Groot and Rocket Raccoon. 

I could sit here and make the same argument about people going ape for a record that came with a license plate or you know, go APEY over Black Friday/Record Store Day releases but I don't because everyone is allowed to go crazy for whatever they want.

Hell, I'm sitting here going ape shit for that damn 20th Anniversary Playstation system, someone got something to say about that?

I got my 'non-US' version of the GOTG tape in, and I'm not too impressed.  Why couldn't they have just made it look the same? 

Is it just the insert or the actual tape too?

Why thank you. I was determined to find one and not pay evilbay prices. I'm wondering though if they got a late shipment or they were cancelled orders. It doesn't seem like they releasing them again. I actually was also able to order one for a friend too. We've been tag teaming places to get one.
