I think this book is amazing and probably one of the best books I have ever read. The movie however will suck shit, as natural with adaptations, starring Viggo Mortenson, who is fucking wrong for this role, and Charlese Theron, whose is wrong in anything, as the mother.
Viggo doesn't sound like a bad choice. The mother is pretty much irrevelent to the story isn't she? I don't mind Theron, but they really didn't have to cast some smokin hot babe in the role.
I think he's a fine actor and will probably kill it, but I just can't see him as that guy. I actually see someone more like guy pierce, who is in the movie.
If anyone on here who has read this is a father, how did you feel about it?

My first tattoo is on the avail website, it was about ten years ago yesterday just a month after I turned eighteen and it is the Avail Dixie Guy and it's on my right calf. One month later I crashed my bike and scuffed it up, but I refuse to touch it up.
Avail still rules.

Did the pre-orders ship yet?

Oh really? I was thinking that pri¢e would put people off. I was thinking $15 was high, though understandable for a short run. I could also do a picture disc, but then they'd be EVEN MORE $. Ha.
That is a little pricey, but a good record is a good record and if it appropriately came with a koozie, well then that would be slammin'

I don't know how I've never heard of these guys. Apparently they've been around for close to 10 years. They're a southern rock/alt-countyish band from Tennessee.
Anyways, they opened for Lucero on Tuesday night and put on a hell of a show! Really energetic set, lots of beards. Duel male/female vocalists. Their keyboardist and steel guitarist later joined Lucero on stage for most of their set as well, where the keyboardist played a rousing rendition of "Jump". I definitely need to check out some of their older stuff now.
Here's a link to the dowload of their latest album The Better Angels of Our Nature

Standout tracks: Only Time Will Tell, Gasoline Soaked Heart.
This guys is right, if anyone has a chance to catch this band then do so. I saw Lucero last week and Glossary stole the show. I actually attempted to avoid seeing them but the show started late. On a side note Emo's is fucking awesome.

- Are you ever going to press Almost Heaven?
If we do, it will be like 200-300 copies, probably $10-$15 cost. Not on the top of the list, but on the list somewhere, eventually.
Awesome!

-- Would you pay $3 extra if a download coupon was throw in with the LP?
-- Would you pay $3 extra if a CD was thrown in the LP Jacket along with the record?
-- Would you pay $5 extra if the LP came with a fully packaged CD?
I would only pay extra for a download code or a seven inch. I personally see no more need for cds, but that's just me. Are you ever going to press Almost Heaven?

Moneen, Alexisonfire, A Static Lullaby.
That last one for sure along with The Spookies, a mid-nineties rip off Misfits band I saw open for Backside.

This is a game I play with my wife and a couple of friends of ours to see who can come up with the worst threesome ever to be involved with. You're one, now pick two other schleps.
Me + Louie Anderson + Bruce Vilanch = Worst Threesome Ever!!!

No relation, they're just pranksters.

when does this no idea yard sale happen?
Saturday of the fest at the No Idea house. It fucking rules. Last year I met Var and he showed this insane bin of rare, and I mean fucking rare, records, not just No Idea. None of which I could afford, but some Euro dude cleaned house. Started at 11 am lastb year, best to be there an hour early.
The Fest is awesome, but Cocaine is not.

i really would like to go to this!!!...i have no clue where to start as planning goes...any advice
First of all figure out your flight info, it's probably best to fly into Jacksonville. It's about an hour or so away and the drive through back country there is awesome. There are a lot of red eye flights into JAX. You can fly to Gainesville, but it's a small airport and a bit pricier, in fact it's more than a flight to JAX and a rental car. There are services which will take you to Gainesville from JAX. Then go to Yellow Pages and get a list of local motels, try the abc, total shithole, but good price and they have a fridge in the room for the brew. Then set $50-60 a side for the weekend ticket. Cabs are pretty cheap and there a few hotels right in the downtown, cheap ones too, but you're better off driving buzzed or hailing a checker. Then bring as much as you can afford for merch, seriously, and go to the no idea yard sale, get there early and get in line. Then drink, alot. go see Assholeparade and smoke reefer inside a club. Get your shit knocked out by Bridge and Tunnel and if they play make sure to see Army of Ponch, but most importantly get prepared for an experience you have never known, The Fest fucking rules!!!!!!

Actually you can front on those songs, except for maybe two. They were just so much more superior before No Division, after that they went the way of the buffallo.
