This was the first Amazon exclusive I've ever ordered. Does their stuff tend to sell out like this? Can't imagine a place like Amazon not having a ton of these. So hopefully they pop back up. But did any of the other variants mention being hand poured like this one does?

Amazon seems to only get so many in any I've got off them, and never noticed restocks.

I don't work at a vinyl pressing factory, so take it with a grain of salt. But, any videos I've ever saw of manufacturing them, this doesn't mean anything special. Any multicolor ones I've seen they hand pour colored beads over solid puck colors. So just a marketing thing is my guess.

Got a reply back about the variants.

The pre-order on amazon is a different version than the limited edition Orange Splatter pressing that is sold directly from the Rival Sons record label Sacred Tongue Recordings.  Please let me know if I can be of any other assistance.

    Kind regards,

Seen the amazon vinyl showing a solid orange variant. Wondering if it's the only other version.

Due to the LP being made from recycled vinyl, colour may vary from image displayed.

Mine came from Amazon, which never had any mention like the bands website did. I was already expecting it to be black from amazon. Just wondering if they all were, or if there are two versions, recycled (supposed to be marble grey, wound up black) and non recycled (all other retailers).

So is there any word of an actual vinyl release or what?

Per RCAs website (it's mentioned the same on Tools website as well under News)

"A vinyl release will be announced soon."

I gave mine a good clean before listening and didn't experience this distortion.

I suppose with every setup being different some may get it more than others, or not at all. But it sure doesn't help that 3 out of the 4 sides are really close to the label, worse than any other record I have. That's just bad practice and they should know better. I would have gladly done without the extra non original tracks to get better sound (especially the remix tracks) . The rest of the songs sound great, sucks cause the inner tracks on both A and B are my favorites on the record and sound the worse for those two.

  6. Any word on pricing? Rammstein vinyl tends to be damn expensive. I'm pretty curious about this project

    https://shop.rammstein.de/en/catalog/Visuals-Sounds/Vinyl/Vinyl-LINDEMANN-SKILLS-IN-PILLS.html

$25.64 by todays conversion, and $16.79 shipping to US. So $42.43, yea a bit pricey sadly.

EDIT: Just seen it on amazon for $39.98

  7. So the S/T is also up on Music Record Shop; per the thread linked below you can get 20% off with the code "dustin2014", plus free shipping.

    http://boards.vinylcollective.com/topic/104535-20-off-musicrecordshopcom/

Total comes out to about $32 if you don't have tax. Pretty sweet deal. I'm regretting jumping the gun on SSD now. Has anyone had success canceling orders from them?

Sweet, thanks for the code. Never cancelled a SSD order before sorry can't help.
