I can't decide between the Record Doctor V and the KAB EV-1; they are both in my price range. Can anyone vouch for either of them?

I have never owned a turntable before, so I am basically a novice when it comes to this kind of stuff. Anyways I have narrowed it down to these two turntables: Pro-Ject Debut lll Audio Technica AT-LP120 + this cartridge if I get this one: Shure M97xE I understand that Pro-Ject is a better brand, but I just wan't more insights/opinions.

Are these speakers and receiver any good?
NIN replied to NIN's topic in Turntables & Other Audio Equipment
These are probably the best I can afford: http://www.amazon.com/JBL-ES20-High-Performance-Bookshelf-Speakers/dp/B00167340E/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top Any feedback? -

The model of the receiver is RX-V995. I did some more research, and I am now interested in a used pair of these: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008NCD2LG/ref=olp_product_details?ie=UTF8&me= They are the best I can do at the moment. -
Here are the speakers; I can't really spend any more than $90, so let me know if there are any better ones than these in my budget. http://www.amazon.com/Sony-SS-B1000-4-Inch-Bookshelf-Speakers/dp/B000OG88KY/ref=sr_1_2?s=aht&ie=UTF8&qid=1413875813&sr=1-2&keywords=bookshelf+speakers My friend is getting a new receiver, so he is gave me his old Yamaha one for free. I believe it's from 1999. It works perfectly and it has a phono input. Anyways, if I have this is there no need to go buy a new one? (I really don't want to spend the money if this one can do the job).

Is washing records with colors/pictures on them safe?

What method do you recommend? -
Already got 4 of them (I knew someone was going say that).
