Thanks for the reply. Noted on the crackling sound... indeed I only hear it while the record is playing and only sometimes. While I think the platter is ok and probably just made this post being paranoid, I will make another video like you say in some spare time and post. Thanks.

Honestly, probably just a complete lack of knowledge on my part is why and paranoid from reading too much online. I just figured I would run it by the eyes of someone more experienced than me to make sure, so I can return/exchange as needed while I still can if needed. I thought it was ok as well after seeing & comparing other video's online but just wasn't sure of myself. Ill take you on your word that its good... Thanks for posting allenh, appreciate it. Although now that I found this place Im second questioning the turntable I bought (or I should say requested as a gift), lol. Found the thread on the U-Turn Orbit.. looks like it would have been a better choice than the Audio Technical LP120 I got. Also, Im hearing a little bit of crackling (static? buzz?) sometimes when listening through my headphones connected a Fiio E09K amp.. this normal? or am i doing something wrong? Sorry to turn this into a question fest... just so new to this all!

Hey all, So Im new here and generally new to vinyl records and turntables. I bought a new turntable and I honestly have no idea how to check if the platter is warped or not. I mean it seems straight forward enough but then I have seen so many video's on youtube where the turntable running looks exactly the same as mine. I made a couple video's of the turntable with the just platter and then one with a record... maybe someone here with more know how than me can can take a look and tell me if the platter looks ok or not... Would appreciate the assist a ton, been going nuts trying to figure this out on my own. And glad to have found this place, look forward to posting and hanging out there Thanks again!
