Got my replacements today, Disc 1 still has noise
Lame

Wasn't it released in the UK earlier this month or something?
Nope. Haven't seen it in any stores, and can't see it on any UK webstores, not even UK Amazon.
-
Those that have it, what's the sleeve like?
-
Apparently my violet copy is getting dispatched today. So excited for this record.
Anyone know who Sargent House UK use for shipping? They've given me a tracking number but no company, so I don't know where to enter the number.

Great band. Looking forward to this album.

Got my Pepto pink from EU and the cover was embossed. This was only because of shitty packaging that resulted in a big chunk of one corner being bent and crunched which made it have a bunch of puffy wrinkles. Yay!
Pepto pink? Which variant is that? I don't remember seeing one of those, sounds sweet tho

according to somewhere in the first 10-15 pages, it was confirmed that only the U.S. press would get the embossed cover and also the EU black deluxe while all other EU colors received the standard cover. Though this is yet to be proven true as the US press has been delayed for a bit.

I think this might be an exception to the rule? It appears to be an EU store selling a coloured deluxe cover. I can assume the description is correct as they're delayed like the rest of the deluxe covers.

Mastered by Bernie Grundman, nice. I've heard a couple of things from him, they've always sounded incredible.
-
I feel like we're all being had and ALL variants are going to have the same sleeve.
Every description looks the same and says blah blah embossed and sculptural.
WHere does it say otherwise?
I don't think it's the same in the US, but in the UK most stores (including the official Deafheaven ones) describe a deluxe and a standard sleeve.
People pooping their pants about a bumpy cover? Oh yeah, VC.
To be fair, it does look incredible.

Wait I'm confused, why do people think they won't get the deluxe jacket???
IIRC there was some confusion much earlier in the thread (in the teens I think in terms of page number) as to which variants actually came with the fancy sleeve, where they were pressed, etc. I can't really remember the outcome.

As this is band exclusive, I am quite confident this one will be just as described; also the band specifically described it as a Deluxe Double LP in the Facebook post I saw. I have ordered it too for the packaging, but have also ordered the EU Green one. Will be interesting to see which one sounds better.
Cool, thanks. The thing looks like a damn painting, I'm looking forward to get it in the post. That green looks sweet too.
-
I ordered one of these. Given that it was revealed that some of the US variants didn't come with the deluxe sleeve but were listed as such, do you guys reckon that this will be the same? The sleeve looks incredible, and I want to make sure I get a copy.

That green/white mix looks really nice, but so does the deluxe violet with the embossed sleeve and foil stamp. Deluxe would end up costing an extra £10 though. Decisions.
-
That black/white swirl looks too sweet. I honestly have no idea which variant to buy. Shipping from the UK there's the black/white, plain black deluxe, translucent green, violet deluxe...
Anyone know which one this is?

If the green/white came in the deluxe sleeve, I'd get that. OPTION PARALYSIS.
-
God dammit. I really want this.
-
Thanks for the comprehensive answer dude. I know I want Doolittle on vinyl, I'm just not sure which one to go for. I must say, the artwork on 25 looks real nice.
-
Anyone know whether Doolittle 25 sounds any better/worse than the MOFI?
-
Got the D'Angelo LP, it's really nice. Super nice gatefold, feels really nice, loads of liner notes. Oh and it sounds AMAZING.
-
I'm very happy with my copy.
I don't know, I wasn't too impressed with the packaging. I mean it sounds good, but the inner sleeves are kinda flimsy and it's only in a single outer, when usually Koz releases are in really nice tip-on gatefolds (Benji, Perils From the Sea). Maybe the US release will have nicer packaging as it'll be handled by Vinyl Films like usual, as opposed to Rough Trade.

These have to be leftovers from the first press. There's no way they would be able to repress it so quickly and still have the same problem
