Some people are genuinely interested in chiptune/8bit sounds.

I for instance love electronic music on vinyl&especially love collecting interesting early electronically composed music on vinyl so im kinda excited about this & would probably have it in regular rotation..

I do wonder about the sound quality tho... ive read good things about it so crossing my fingers its worth it~

$80 is absolutely insane. That's 40 dollars short of what the average working man makes in a day.... or slightly more than what somebody makes on an 8 hour minimum wage shift.

I understand that it's out of 500 and a good way for the band to make money (presuming the band is actually getting a decent percentage of the sale)... so part me of wants to wait on the price on the black version is before bitching. But I just don't see how $80 is in any way justifiable by anything other than pure corporate greed.

Makes me grateful that a high percentage of my favorite modern (past 10 years) bands are on independent labels.

Ha thats my way of thinking too! Companies(&sometimes artists)will milk consumers for all they can get.. but its up to us to be smarter~

Which is why im happy to have found a black vinyl copy "used" for only 13bux shipped! I figure its allll about the music&that beautiful cover art is a bonus!!

mehhh im glad i didn't wait.. i got vulnicura on black vinyl for only 18shipped after the longgg wait. i also have a feeling that vinyl color wont sound too good. Plus kinda over spending excessive money on b. Her marketing team&oli are kinda $$ geniuses for bringin this out afterrrr all the wait with the first releasing of it... but feels kinda wrong too :\

Premiers is amazing.  Additionally, it is the best sounding of the 3 represses that I have gotten so far.  I'd say it's top 5 in my vinyl collection (around 200) for pure sound quality.

Its more of a "white chocolate" white(if anyones seen a white crunch bar its like that).one of mine even has tiny black speckles throughout it

This has definitely been an interesting chase to say the least. Got Post, Debut, and Homogenic quite easily and for a good price. Although I must say these came directly from OLI records and are all dinged up to some degree. Bought vespertine and Biophilia for Amazon. Vespertine arrived in excellent shape, Biophilia did not, plus as I mentioned earlier it's not the colored variant I was hoping for. Anyways long story short I contacted a non prime seller on amazon and got the Colored Biophilia on the way for half the price ($18.99, not bad) I had previously paid. Now it's down to Volta and Medula, both seem untouchable for under $40. As of yesterday Amazon had a note on the Medula vinyl page saying they would have a new shipment by 6/16, today that message is back to the ambiguous' on backorder' note that we all love so well. The dollar Vs the pound don't help and UK shipping prices are the worst ( as a side note Germany is the only Euro country with decent shipping, but I digress) , but the others started out that way too and eventually came down in price. I guess after all my rambling my question is why are some so easy to find and some are not?

18.99 is a GREAT price for biophilia! A friend got mine for 25shipped luckily.

Im still debating on grabbing volta once its unleashed since its the ONLY bjork album im missing on vinyl, altho i prefer my voltaic over it. If i find it as cheap as i found debut colored then im grabbing it~

So i wonder if this is pressed from the original plates,

although the deadwax has the get on down catalog number stamped.. hhmmm
