Unfortunately they're sold out, but the band will have a limited amount of the Galaxy variant on their US tour in September. Not sure how quickly they'll sell out of those. We'll be doing a deep dive into our inventory later in the year- if anything shows up, is returned, etc. we'll post about it. Maybe something will be listed on discogs soon, I see a bunch of GITD and Clear listed right now. Sorry to not be more help here!
I see, a deep dive would probably be closer to Christmas I am assuming? And is there a way to tell which one is the galaxy vinyl in person? I saw pictures saying color vinyl for both clear, GTID, and galaxy so not sure if barcode is different. I know she has a rough trade show coming up here and they also have an exclusive

Hello everyone, Double Double Whammy here. We noticed a discussion and some confusion over some of the variants and wanted to address a few to hopefully help out! Made an account just for this
- We are aware that the Glow In The Dark does look very similar to the milky clear in the daylight, which has been the source of a lot of confusion (even for me when I first opened it!).
- You do need to expose it to light for it to glow in the dark, similar to the way other GITD items work. This is certainly a novelty item as someone mentioned, and the first GITD record we've made - it does seem like the "technology" has some kinks to work out, but I do think it's cool none the less! Here's a photo someone tweeted of it glowing.
- Similarly we've heard people saying they ordered the Galaxy variant and received black vinyl. I promise, there is not a black variant of this record at this time, hold the vinyl to the light and see the "galaxy" effect! Two galaxy examples showing the difference in the light.
- Someone asked why would we do GITD and Milky Clear since they look so similar in the light -- we allow our artists to pick any variants they want, and since this was our first GITD record, we didn't have the foresight to realize they look so similar. Our mailorder team is very good at separating and sending the correct variants though. And now we know for the future!
Thanks hope this helps! Enjoy the album!
Is there any way to get the galaxy vinyl still? As in cancellations or leftover copies? Missed out and really want to grab it.

Email from Rough Trade (I ordered the GITD):
“I'm reaching out to everyone who preordered the Hatchie, Keepsake LP to let you know in a delay in our shipment, as our distributor has informed us that they unfortunately have misplaced our copies. They have assured us we will have our copies shortly, but at this time we do not have an exact date that we will have them in hand. I will make sure to keep everyone in the loop, and let you know exactly when we receive them.”You ordered the GITD from rough trade or you just did in general?
And
Did anyone get the galaxy vinyl? I emailed the label about seeing if I could grab a copy (missed out too late) and never heard from them.
But seems like no one got the galaxy vinyl from hashtags or here as well.

Saw some things on discogs of rainbo pressing it and it being noisey?
is that true? Was gonna maybe get the books a million edition whereas i preferred rough trade

Was it opaque green or translucent

Matador merch email will occasionally give cheeky replies and subtly downplay your issue but they always come through quickly with returns and replacements, at least in my experience. Just resist the temptation to read into their comments.
I remember with Villains, I got a damaged sleeve and they hassled me saying that it wasn’t worth a replacement sleeve and then asked me why I would buy from them (to support the label & band) after that banter than they got me my sleeve.
As for the record i got a replacement same defect, but theyre sending another one they tested so hopefully it works. Opaque though.

no problem with the euro press no
Translucent right?

I think the Interpol website was also giving translucents?

My red copy definitely has this issue. Wonder if Matador will take any action if we reach out...
When I contacted Matador they said color vinyl usually tends to be worse than black and said no one reached out to them about the defect which is total BS.
So it seems a lot of people are having good luck with their translucent and cream vinyl but the opaque is a messed up one.
Sucks. I'm going to ask for a refund/return and just buy the cream. Maybe enough of us complain they'll print out another batch with the issue removed?

Any one having an issue with a whoosing noise on the b side of opaque red? Want to know if the entire batch was affected

Back is the same as the front, so it's not completely red foil, just the logo inlay. The lyric booklet is glossy and magazine-style, which I didn't expect (but it's quite nice).
I see i guess ill have to see it in person. Hoping the vmp edition lasts till sept (hoping they do a good record next month)

Alright, here's a shot of everything I received (sans the sleeve haha). You can sort of see the red foil, though it's pretty subtle. Looks much better up close.
Thanks for that!Though it seems the cover is still the white cover? Is the back red foil and I'm guessing that's the inner sleeve that's red foil too?

Actually didn't come with a code. I can send pics when I get home but all I got was the record itself and the lyric booklet, so I'm assuming there's more.
That's so weird. I am guessing since you got the bandcamp exclusive that it just comes with the DLC when the album is released? But bandcamp said you were supposed to get lithos so I would contact them.
I saw a zoomed in pic of the album's back on instagram and it seems a red foil cover? Would need to see the whole thing to confirm.

Got my deluxe edition red in today (very early, which was a nice surprise), and it looks great. Vinyl is a great shade of red, and the lyric booklet is a trip. Although I'm pretty sure it didn't come with the lithographs, unless those are somehow part of the booklet. Did anyone else get theirs?
Does the dlc code work and pics?

Even if it is a thing, no way is it happening anytime soon, this is Kevin Shields.
Snails think this dude takes his time.
Yeah I agree with you. I doubt the 45 rpm will come out any time soon even if he bothered to work on it.

I feel bad for anyone still sleeping on these in hopes of them hitting US distro for cheaper, it's not gonna happen.
I was seeing if there was going to be another edition. Kevin said in an interview of a 45 rpm being made, not sure how serious he was about it

Anyone have any extra or unused Download codes of these reissues? I want to hear how Zooropa sounds remastered.
-
Can anyone comment on the sound quality of the white vinyl compared to black vinyl?

According to Discogs, the track listing says NYC Cops, but it's actually When it Started on the wax.
Okay now it hurts lol

they seem to have a few Strokes in-store. I was in NH recently and noticed a few and a year ago in Boston too. Easier said than done however if you're nowhere NEAR a Newbury. Finally snagged the GBV Mag Earwhig for sticker price on a drive back thru NH
Oh wow that's awesome sadly no Boston trips for me in the future. I mean I live on the east coast but it's still a good day's drive.
Though do you or does anyone know if "Is This It' has When It Started over NYC cops? It wouldn't hurt as bad if it's a NYC cops pressing.

Hoping for Strokes, very unlikely.

For those that ordered Jurassic Park is it as bad as people are saying on Discogs?
and anyone can confirm if those og presses of JP were any good or better?
With Magnolia & Batman Returns, I am kind of fed up with these overpriced subpar pressings

What's the amped indie exclusive supposed to be?

This is possible too. I'd email the label myself to clarify, but I'm not really after this one anyway. If Nicolas Jaars other releases are any indication though, this will be repressed.
Did you end up emailing them?
none of my local record stores ever had it in stock (vintage vinyl, princeton record exchange)
