Captured Tracks just clearly doesn't have the manpower to handle big pre-orders like this. 

Hoping to get an update soon - it's been about a month since they sent me a tracking number, which turned out to be not real cause of the Pup Tent debacle.

 

I did get this reply last week, though:

this is easily the most frustrated i've ever been with a pre-order thing.

If I had the fight in me I'd write them a snippy email but it's not gonna do anything

I got the exact same canned response from CT. Why in the fuck mark it shipped then?

not really. if it doesn't update after some time, perhaps email them.

honestly its possible they say its shipped and they just haven't physically taken it to the post office yet.

yup, wouldn't doubt it.

I ordered something from them last winter (it was a record that had been out for some time) and tracking didn't update for the longest time - like nearly a month. finally i e-mailed and complained and they claimed a drop off to their post office went missing. tracking updated the next day.

i try to avoid ordering w/ them whenever possibly.

i got my shipping notice on friday... no updates though (yet)

The pre-order for this went up in like December.

i emailed them last friday and they said they were expected to have them the following week (this week) and then proceeded to warn me about the quantity of things they need to ship so it may take a while to get them all out.

Got the 7" today. 

 

Hounds of Barrio is great, but it reminds me of a couple album tracks. 

 

Reenk Roink or Bleep Blop or whatever is pretty terrible.

 

 

I can understand why both tracks were cut from the LP.

 

i would've taken both of these songs on the LP over Natural Selection and Spilling Guts.

Record store I go to had like 10 of these in stock. 

They're real big on selling rap bootlegs.... Licensed to Ill, Section 80, Yeezus, Pablo, etc.

Street date is may 20

 

Hopefully they put out the individual LP's soon after and not like six months later.

No. I don't think it ever did. Washing Machine does, though.

yeah... i love Woods, and most everything put out on the Woodsist label, but meneguar was hot garbage

They're a band who clearly moves on sonically from album to album. So wishing for a new album to sound like something a decade+ old is pretty odd.

There are bands who you want to make the same album over and over again because they hone in on a sound and perfect it. This isn't that band.

I ordered Goo, Dirty and Washing Machine from the kung fu store and got them in the mail on Monday.

Last album was average at best. Animal collective is done for me. Feels/strawberry jam days are over.

Of course those days are over, those songs were debuted anywhere from 10-12 years ago

i wrote an email to kung fu asking if they're in stock and ready to ship now... we'll see what they say.

 

edit: they're in-stock and ready to ship now as a perk for ordering from the bands official store.

anyone got any updates on the CT version?

 

I got a tracking number on Sunday from them and it hasn't updated since. I think this is a running theme w/ CT as this has happened a couple of times with me in the past... i.e. activating a tracking number and then they don't actually ship it for another week.
