i agree. i love this record still. much better than the last two. equal vision seems to sleep on a lot, like handing a label the rights to press dustin kensrue on vinyl. bastards. that needs to be pressed immediately.
-
yeah, that is definitely awesome. well put.
-
i seriously haven't been able to put that record down since it came out. indigenous is definitely one of the best tracks.
-
this is hell sucks.
-
yeah, independent carries vinyl. their selection is better than twist and shout's sometimes, i think. they have newer stuff. twist and shout's used selection is awful. you have to get there on the right day.
-
yeah, no idea just did that to me last week. i hate no idea.
-
i still need to pick this up. they need to put something else out quick before the hype dies out. that's been out since 2005 and people are still eating it up. it's great stuff though.

Best:
VC
Deathwish
RevHQ
29North
and unfortunately, my recent experience with no idea has been terrible. it's a great distro for sure, but they forgot to ship two of the records i ordered, both a breather resist and transistor transistor LP. i assume they sent them separate, but it's been 3 days since i received the first package. their e-mail is down until the holiday break too. interpunk sucks but has a great selection. and very distro takes forever to arrive it seems.

The Splinter Shards the Birth of Separation on Green:
Just in case anyone is interested. So far it's only at $10.
god, that is pretty.

just got this last week from no idea. this record fucking rules. i love the packaging. so simple, but perfect. a lot more DIY looking. too bad it doesn't come with an incredible soundbook though.
-
that is beautiful.

losing money vs. an extremely gratifying experience and experiment. i'm going for it.
-
very has it in stock.

i need to pick it up.

I think the only vinyl I ever picked up from a hot topic was when they had the thursday/thrice 7" on clearance for $.99 and I bought the 3 they had left. Kind of pointless but they were cheap...
Also a Bill Lumberg postcard for my cubicle. That was a must have.
haha, yeah. i picked up that split at hot topic too. i love it. the clear looks nice too.

definitely not worth it. they are easily my favorite band, but i'm not into re-issued, overpriced boxsets that are hardly limited at all. i'll stick with my limited version of heima on dvd.
-
quick! everyone badger virgil into pressing 'the funeral of god' and 'the fear is what keeps us here.' they're both on ferret, you know.
-
yeah, i'm about to put out a record for my band as well. short runs are always expensive. i wish it weren't the case. 500 seems like too many to sell and get rid of, but once the records are actually pressed, it seems like it would motivate you to sell as many as possible so you get your money's worth. i guess i'll find out.
-
i'm definitely digging deadformat now. it's obviously a lot more stable than recordnerd. hopefully virgil's idea for one will be the best. i'm sure it will be.
-
anyone? anyone?
-
except they don't accept credit cards. son of a bitch.
-
he also sent them to slave union distro at www.slaveunion.com, which is an excellent place to buy stuff.
awesome thanks a lot. i've been wondering about 29north lately. this slaveunion is great.

The Relapse shop is now run by the guy that runs Level Plane. Their customer service is top shelf in my book and I would expect them to get you a new copy ASAP.
the dude from 29north is working for relapse now? lame. the 29north catalog was so great. maybe he took his overstock to the relapse store.
-
Dude, Relapse is the WORST about picking vinyl colors. They should just press everything on 180 gram black and be done with it. Especially for the prices they charge.
yeah, relapse prices are definitely ridiculous. not too stoked on a lot of their vinyl releases, however the new dillinger on vinyl looks and sounds great on red wax.

the first press probably won't be 2000. that's quite a bit. probably 500-1000 for the first press. i'd like to see a solid gold press of this. maybe the most limited. sort of like the new converge record was. i really dig the solid gold for some reason.

i think this band is doing a full US tour with Hour Of The Wolf in March. HOTW is the best band out there right now. hopefully Smartbomb gets some good exposure out on the road.
