  1. The seller did the buyer a favor...I'm sure with some kind words the seller *could* have declined to refund (especially if he specifies no refunds in his auction). If anything the buyer could have just reposted the record and sold it himself.

+1 to OP for being nice and refunding. That's rare to see these days.

  2. I'm assuming this is a front-wheel drive car so it seems typical to a CV-joint going out.

Replacement depends on your skill level with tools but with Hondas (what I typically work on) it is as quick as a 30 minute job.

I recommend buying the new cv joint at a parts store and then taking it to a shop to save a little cash since they always markup parts.

Part shouldn't be over $200 and labor possibly $75-100. These numbers are on the high side. My civic half-shafts are under $100.

As far as safety is concerned, the noise will only get worse and worst-case would result in the joint itself shearing.

  3. My son and I really enjoyed the movie.

    I admit I sniffled in a couple parts--but I'm just a little bitch with movies :D

I think I'm officially acting old too...I was getting annoyed at how loud they had the speakers in the theater. If it was bothering my deaf ears imagine the damage it's doing to all the kids in there!
