  1. I got one at Waterloo today!! It was tough, they were staggering out when they put them out, there were people hovering over the 7" section like vultures! One slipped away b/c I didn't want to be pushy, and then the next time I grabbed a second before another guy. Very intense!

    My Crosses 10" finally showed up today too, so all in all a great vinyl day!

  2. Tomahawk are set to record this month at some point. New album is slated for late Summer. Last release was 2007. Can't wait for new material. I'm hoping its more like S/T.

    Wow, that's great news! I love Tomahawk! But then again, I love most Patton projects...

    It took me a few listens but eventually really dug Anonymous! Though I completely agree, sounding similar to Self-Titled would be fantastic. But the thing about Patton is, even within the same project, no 2 albums ever sound the same...

  3. Making a Tomahawk tour less and less likely... balls.

    If they toured the US it might make the lack of a Tomahawk tour worth it.

    Are Tomahawk up to anything? Have they recorded recently or something? I feel like I haven't heard about that project in forever.

    Hell, I'd take a Mondo Cane tour! C'mon Mikey, tour America!

  4. Big Jack White fan, been a member of the Vault since day 1. Here's what I've got:

    * All the Vault Packages

    * All 3 13" Texas-sized SxSW Records (2xWhite Stripes, 1xRaconteurs)

    * Karen Elson "Ghost Who Walks" Tri-Color

    * Karen Elson - Ghost Who Walks Peach Marble LP

    * 2 Whites Stripes 7" singles, RSD split-color

    * Karen Elson Flower Petal 7"

    * Dead Weather Sea of Cowards split yellow/black LP

    * Dead Weather TRIPLE DECKER (the crown jewl of my collection!)

    * Greenhornes **** LP on Green vinyl

    Other than that, a bunch of plain ole black 7" from TMR, as well as a couple of the live LPs.

    Also, I find this fan site a little bit more exhaustive and informative than the official site for information on their releases:

  5. All of these stores were sent copies of this. They should be up on www.hottopic.com on Tuesday as well.

    MALL CITY STATE

    Baybrook Mall Friendswood TX

    Memorial City Mall Houston TX

    North Star Mall San Antonio TX

    Padre Staples Mall Corpus Christi TX

    Cielo Vista Mall El Paso TX

    DAMN, no Austin! I guess I'll have to order it online. I don't know if you have any control over this, but what determines where it's sent? Previous vinyl sales at a location? Because here in Austin, we're a vinyl loving town and can't imagine why it would go to some of the places in TX listed above and not Austin.

    Still super excited about this though.

  6. put this in the wrong thread...

    i totally prefer these $18 sennheiser headphones over my $225 nixon master blasters for $150 sony studio headphones. they sound better then my friend's dr. dre beat$ too.

    highly recommended, not much of a risk either.

    +1 I've been using these for years. Inexpensive and awesome. NOTHING compares at this price point. Cheap and amazing audio, especially bass response.

  7. Looking forward to the downloads of unreleased songs :)

    I'm wondering what's taking so long on this. Throwing the files up on Bandcamp seems like it would take 10 seconds. The only reason I can think of would be that they don't want to make these songs available to everyone before those who ordered the vinyl get their packages?

    I can't wait to have these babies on my iPod, but still, getting to here some of this stuff, like Little Birds, in good quality instead of shitty MP3s is wonderful.
