Why is it stupid for me to live differently than you? Neither of us is wrong homeslice No, because you are doing something stupid, and you aren't protected in any way from me making fun of you for it. Plenty of adults own copies of films the loved as kids (Ninja Turtles, The GI Joe Movie etc.), despite the fact they're silly from an objective view point. I know more adults with Shel Silverstein books than kids, even though the only reason they own them is because they loved them as children. It's not right or wrong to do either way. I listen to a lot of bands that I did when I was younger and I probably don't listen to just as many or more. It's how you opt to let the experience of the medium impact you. I can still listen and enjoy certain songs that evoke certain emotions from when I was 14 and I can listen to a Garth Brooks song and cringe that I ever enjoyed it. It's all a personal choice. That's great that you would freely admit to wasting money buying children's toys for yourself to pretend that you haven't grown into a man. Did they influence you?

I like to think that maybe she had some sort of super dramatic movie soundtrack music playing when she made that thread. Not like on a stereo or anything, like literally coming out of nowhere like in a movie because music is important and serious and influences our lives and she probably wouldn't have gone through with that thread had the music not influenced her and made her believe it was THE RIGHT THING TO DO.

So you're just an idiot. Gotcha. I'm not denying I listened to terrible music as a youth. What I don't do is listen to or support those bands in any way anymore, because I'm a human with a mind and I have this ability to "grow out of things" and maybe even "change my mind about things". Why do I have to defend these bands like they're all comprised of my best friends? Is it holier than thou of me to...not be the same person I used to be? Change and grow and mature as a person? Make sense out of that. Again, it's not about lying what you used to believe or like as a kid, it's still believing or liking it and refusing to grow as a person. I ask, again, why is music the only form of media this ridiculous standard is applied?
