MUSICFEARSATAN celebrates its 50th release by releasing the first DOUBLE DRAGON self-titled record on vinyl, the CD version was released by the band itself in 2015. Having already composed a few horror movies soundtracks, the two musicians hailing from Montpellier are the best kept secret of the french synthwave scene, playing a glorious music combining a gloomy and hypnotic atmosphere influenced by JOHN CARPENTER and an electronic spirit ala KAVINSKI. This record is limited to 300 copies on red vinyl enhanced by an exclusive bonus track and a download card.

Initially composed to be played as a live soundtrack (like at Roadburn Festival 2011 for example) on Carl Dreyer's "Vampyr" (silent film from 1932), this long musical piece was finally recorded in february 2012. The result is not a new YEAR OF NO LIGHT album but a long new track (72 minutes) with YEAR OF NO LIGHT classic heavy riffs mixed with more experimental and drone tunes that can remind us their collaborative records with NADJA or THISQUIETARMY. The record is a double vinyl including a CD version of the long track to listen to it in an one-time session.

When some hardcore veterans of the 2000's (ex members of KIRUNA, OVERMARS and GENEVA) decide to remember the 90's of their youth and to pay tribute to glorious bands like KISS IT GOODBYE, UNSANE or KNUT, the final result is ALABASTER. A perfect mix between punk hardcore and noise rock with just what it needs of metal, tense and nervous as you wish, with direct structures but complicated riffs.

HUATA and BITCHO decide to form an alliance to release this split LP under the sign of psychedelism. One year after their first full lenght ("Atavist of Mann", 2012), HUATA from Brittany comes back with two new tracks, a new psychedelic sludge dimension for this occult doom-stoner band that reminds SLEEP or ANCESTORS with very particular arrangements. BITCHO from the Netherlands presents a long track (12 mn) with down tempo tunes a la GODFLESH and creeping sludge riffs with incatations. The record comes in a beautiful gatefold LP with a retro-futuristic cover made by Benjamin Moreau (HUATA).

This is the third press of the first belgian band full-lenght record, AMEN RA just joined NEUROT RECORDINGS for their third album ("Mass V" scheduled for 2012). "Grief is my new moniker" should be their best result and it is. This second record, after "Bad books and empty pasts" released in 2007 on Rejuvenation/Denovali, recorded by Sylvain Biguet (COMITY, AS WE DRAW) mixed short and long tracks with very different tunes, from noise rock to post rock.

With multiple influences and various members side-projects (LES FRAGMENT DE LA NUIT, DO YOU COMPUTE, BRUME RETINA, TO THE HAPPY FEW, etc.), the REVOK music is indefinable but epitomized by a strong darkness and a brutal result.

The record is released on vinyl (500 copies) and on digisleeve CD (1.000 copies). The artwork was done by AlexAdieu.

Year of no Light spent most of the last 4 years spreading its enthralling psychedelic warfare to a continually growing audience. Alongside they parted ways with their singer (R.I.P) and recruited two other thirsty mercenaries. Shiran, of über-doom combo “Monarch!”, brings now his chthonian six strings to an already massive cathedral of noise and ambient drone tones. Mathieu, of deviant-electronics act “Aeroflot”, strengthens ritualistic tribal rhythm patterns.

Out of their cave, they secluded into an old theater to record these 4 tracks catching every possible vibration of the trembling frame of this enlivened a new mansion. All the energy collected at that very moment forms “Ausserwelt”, the sophomore album of Year of no Light. Mystical emanations flow out of these riffs colliding into each other to an in ear-splitting shriek. Cranked amps and molested drums hurl their mourning chant as a choir intoning its final psalms at the dawn of the Last Judgment. Year of no Light follows the path opened by “Nord” towards more somber psychedelics, creating its own blend of black metal, sludge, drone or any other influence marked with the seal of darkness.

Still no caps, no core neither stupid modern nihilism but instead an ambiguous electrical network of acting singularities, now ready to afford the collective metaphysical crash to come.
