  1. My turntable is a Stanon T.62. My pre amp is an RCA AH500, and my speakers are part of a JVC FS-1000 stereo system. The turntable is pretty new, but the preamp and stereo are both about 20 years old. Please, I am really desperate. I have not been able to use my record player in a week. I do not know what to do and I have been asking everywhere I can but I have not gotten any help.
  2. I've been getting a bad hum from my turntable even though it is grounded. Do hum eliminators do a good job at getting rid of the sound? Or should I maybe just look into getting new speakers and/or pre amps, since I think they may be the cause since they are older and I hear the hum even when the turntable is not hooked up to them?
  3. I've been getting a buzz even with grounding wires.I think that it is coming from my speakers or preamp since I hear it even when they are not plugged in to the record player, and they are both pretty old. I am not sure if I should replace one of both of them, or if I should buy one of those hum reducers

  5. I have a similar issue. I recently got a new record player, though the speakers and tube amp are hand me downs from my dad and are a bit old. I am pretty sure the hum is originating from the speakers, since I can hear it even when it is not hooked up to my record player. I have a grounding wire attached to the record player, and there is also a grounding wire attached to the cord. Should I get a new set of speakers and/or tube amp, should I buy one of those hum eliminators, or is there still a chance I can fix it without spending any more money?
