the Universal copies are gatefold.

so are there any major difference between the MTS version and the Universal version? i think somone said the Universal jacket has a gloss finish instead of matte.

Universal:

-Glossy finish (? don't know for sure)

-Only on white vinyl (not heavy 180g vinyl)

-Parental Advisory label is printed on the cover.

-No plastic sleeve to cradle the cardboard sleeve + vinyl

-Not a gatefold (doesn't fold out like a book, just a traditional sleeve)

-Label on the vinyl looks like the CD.

MTS:

-Matte finish

-Various colors available, black 180g version available.

-Comes cradled in a protective sleeve.

-Parental Advisory is a sticker on the plastic protective sleeve. Not on the actual cover.

-Gatefold, opens like a book. Very cool.

-Unique label on vinyl.

Vintage is a good way to go if you are just using it for your vinyl purposes. Also, if you start looking at modern receivers, make sure they have a phono input. Many don't. That's one reason to stick with vintage.
