I gotta admit, I thought this thing was pretty cool. You fold out some cardboard pieces and it turns into a working record player. You turn the record manually with a pencil that fits into a hole on the 45.

If anyone in socal is willing to drive to ventura county - I stopped off at the hot topic in thousand oaks when I going to visit some family and they had 4 copies of it. I bought 2 - both on red. 2 left as of yesterday. Is the trend east coast got marble and west coast got red at hot topic?

It cuts out "this is growing up" - so there's a decent chunk of song missing. The vinyl is clean and looks scratch free. Both of my copies were purchased at hot topics in southern california.

Has anyone else picked up the Geffen/Universal Music press of Dude Ranch from Hot Topic and actually listened to it? I picked one up and track 3, Dammit, skipped at ~1:21. I took it back and exchanged it for another and it skips in exactly the same place. I'm not sure how I could get 2 records damaged identically. Could they have really pressed it without listening to a test? Glad I ordered it from Mightier Than Sword as well - I've heard good things about their releases. Any info would be appreciated!

You know what I love about you guys. You act like vinyl snobs. I think the majority of people asking questions about this release (not bitching) were just wondering a) Where the hell is this coming from since rumors have been flying for about half a year now what color it will be. Just simple questions most people would want to know before making a purchase. Then everyone says go with AFS moron, duh.

Don't get me wrong, packaging is great, I'll pay the extra money for the sweet packaging. But why make a big deal out of the 180 gram vinyl? You kids gonna throw in another $4000 - $28000 to get an audiophile record player to hear that difference or do you just want the deluxe packaging to show how cool you are to your friends?

Sorry- I'm not really a douche (at least not that much of one), but chill the fuck out on the peeps asking questions - asking questions does not equal bitching. I'm pretty sure we're all extremely happy this is coming out on vinyl, but in classic brand new form - it's all secret like...which prompts questions...which well, here we go.

Hi, I was wondering if you know which color vinyl this will be. I've heard this is the white pressing that was also available on merchdirect, but I've also heard this pressing is black.
