i'm on the phone with paypal now. i'm probably one of the most pessimistic people here but once i got through to an agent i basically said i had this dispute open and he basically screwed a few thousand people out of a lot of money, and i've read about a lot of people getting refunds or at the very least a $25 courtesy refund so i was wondering if there was anything you could do to help, and she pretty much said yes straight away. her name was emily if that helps, so if you haven't called at least to get that $25 you should go ahead and do that. better than nothing and it pays for my gaslight anthem single i just bought and then some.

i dont think chelsea can do it with that many losses. still holding onto the hope that we get fourth, so im really hoping bayern can take care of them. also because fuck chelsea.

To people who are still holding out hope: my only question is why? There are now three pressing of this record. Euro first pressing, HT tri-color second pressing, and HT third pressing. What is wrong with those records?

I get it, the 7"s are cool. I myself was tempted to just buy those but I felt it unnecessary. So, again I ask, what's the reason to hold out hope when every signal is point in the direction of never?

i'm not holding out hope (for the records or a refund) but the problem with those 3 pressings is i passed on them because at the time they came out (at least the latter two pressings) i was still holding out for the MTS one, and now they're going for a lot on ebay, and i've already dropped $44 and don't want to pay ebay prices for a record i already paid for. i'm cutting my losses at this point

i didn't go see them with the loved ones once because it was the day ofter i got back from a trip and it was a 2.5 hour drive, boy do i regret that. i saw them in a ~200 person venue with american steel and polar bear club though, which was awesome (red collar also played that show but i missed them). i'm so so glad i caught that show.

I love the song, but I think I've read/heard somewhere that it's the "oddball" song on the new album, so I'm not really sure what to expect!

yeah brian said that that song would be this album's "film noir" (i think that's the song he compared it too). though tbh i didn't think biloxi parish was that out there or weird. i liked it a lot, so stoked for this album.

what are all these people suddenly in raleigh/durham doing here? i'm in chapel hill as well. CD ally and all day records aren't too great for punk stuff in my experience. i hear lunchbox in charlotte is great, and bull city records in durham is good too

i dont know how much they'll be able to do. the money must be gone at this point and short of the band personally refunding people, not going to happen, i dont see a resolution. oh well live and learn etc.

Do you guys go through red eye? I think the store said that might be who they got it from. My roommate was an intern at red eye for a while and they all seemed cool. I guess you can still screw people over and be cool though

record store got this in today, sounds great. i like that the packaging is recycled! out of curiosity, does any less money go to you/the artist if i get a record store to order it for me rather than get it from interpunk or shopradiocast, etc? from the artist's perspective is one better?

does anyone else hate how SRC uses the term OOP/out of print? they're like "only a few copies of take off your pants and jacket left, almost OOP" when it's not even "in print" yet?

^ iTunes is DRM restricted. Only approved computers that have access to your or whoever bought it(s) account would be allowed to play/upload it. I hate iTunes.

I didn't realize this was still a conversation but a label could always do what Black Numbers and other have done and just say e-mail [email protected] for a download.

i used to think even if it kills me was pretty shit but i got into it after a while. dinosaur was solid, but i am the movie and commit this to memory are almost perfect, i doubt they'll top them. either way i'm really, really excited for this record

The people currently debating character & plot development in Hunger Games understand that it's a series aimed at elementary/middle school age kids, right?

i liked the book, i get that it's aimed at that demographic, but a lot of college aged kids (myself included) liked it. i'm arguing that the movie sucked, and was even more dumbed down than the book. the book had me on edge, and was pretty violent, and descriptive in its violence. the movie was the opposite of that, and as a result as the previous poster said, it was hard to characters died.

I'll also say I never read Hunger Games, so I'm not playing the whole "books are better than movies!" thing, but good god did the Hunger Games movie suck.

They didn't develop any of the characters well enough for me to care about them, so when the little black girl died, I didn't give a shit at all. The whole point of the story seems to be that this Hunger Games thing is a horrific experience, yet when it came time to demonstrate that, they shook the camera a lot and we saw .2 seconds of child-on-child violence. I'm not saying I want to watch 12 year olds get slaughtered, but if I'm supposed to be horrified by it, I should probably seem something horrifying, right?

It was half-assed at every turn and you could see they wanted to cash in on the PG-13 demographic rather than go big with a R rating and do it justice. They just did things to get it done and cash in rather than make a master-piece. And Peeta can't act, so I was hoping he'd die the whole time. Pissed he's a main character and didn't.

that's how i felt, they half assed the 3 main aspects - love story, political nineteen eightyfour-ness, and the violence, so when all of them were half asses it didn't work at all. the acting was complete shit and the casting was terrible. it made me not really want to read the rest of the series (i liked the first book) because it was so bad. i dont understand how it got such good reviews.

^that's exactly what he should do, and i feel like people would give him some slack, but he's being a total pussy about it, deleting facebook posts and refusing to even acknowledge the people from whom he's taken thousands of dollars.

i really think this will be the end of his label, i can't imagine how much debt he's racked up. you can only press enema for those dumbass "i'm happy to give you every penny for every blink release" so many times.

the sad thing is if he was upfront about the whole thing, like months ago, or hell even on tuesday, and came clean saying he made a mistake and refunded people i think he could have recovered from it.

and @theusedguy travis doesn't own universal haha, he (correct me if i'm wrong?) works for hot topic and/or universal in some capacity and gets vinyl pressed. tbh i'm surprised you haven't asked that about him before he's been in this thread forever

one thing i dont understand is why did universal even bother licensing these records when they are putting them out themselves via travis anyway?

the fact that the "expected release date" on SRC's website is still april 10th makes me think no one is even thinking about this release anymore. it's almost 100% not coming out tomorrow but they're too lazy to even change it on the store.

i'm pretty patient too and haven't really stressed about this release too much, but if (when) there's another bullshit excuse on tuesday i'll probably ask for a refund. i dont even remember what i paid, but eventually it makes more sense to cut your losses.
