  1. nice score. i got both a black and green copy off ebay for a shit ton!!

the black is more rare. there is a guy who sells on ebay who worked for the distro on this record for grass records. the invoice he has doesn't even call for black vinyl and there was only one pressing. black was a color mess up and pretty limited to prob about 200 with 1000 pressed and about 400 damaged. or so i have been told.

  2. i love ska, never liked this band. it's cool that you get to put this on vinyl. i hope it sells well for you. and really, fuck these dudes. i get that people want to make money on what they do for a living, great....but to be a winy bunch of pricks about a record that would have never seen the light of day, by a fan of the band? those dudes need to re-evaluate what they did in the past (signing with a branch off major label) and what they happen to be doing to fans of the band now.

with that said satori fucking rips!!!

and the bruce lee record Beautiful World

ps....if anyone knows the dude who pressed the bruce lee record, contact that dude, as mike park has still yet to get any copies for payment from this guy.

  3. so all of these records are $10 $8.00

  4. alkaline trio s/t was never pressed on vinyl in 02....infact it was done about 2 yrs ago maybe sooner. the cotton candy color was a mistake that was sent to us by rainbo, we didn't order that color at all. it was then sent to virgil as a VC exclusive. hope that clears anything up about that press.

  5. i can tell you that the alk3 records were the least rare of all of the records. i admire what paul is doing and if thats what happens then cool. i know what i paid to get all of these. and i can tell you it was well over a grand. may it be 5 dollars here or 200 here and what have you. i guess have fun with it!

  6. Scott, you barely know me, yet know how I would react in any situation... I find that odd.

Not any situation, just that one—you'd have to walk up to what would essentially be a complete stranger and say "HEY BUDDY, YOU SUCK AT RUNNING YOUR BUSINESS, AND LET ME TELL YOU WHY." It takes a special breed of person to be that enormous of an asshole, and I just don't think you have it in you.

i must be that asshole because i've done this with show promoters.

    1. you don't lie to the people that buy a product you put out

    2. you don't hold back information that may hinder sales because you need to fun another record.

    3. this thing they call email....its pretty easy to you. i think you have one no?

    4. mail order isn't hard. anyone who say's it's hard, needs to go back to the 3rd grade so they can show you again how to fill out a envelope put some stamps on it and go to the post office. it's not fucking rocket science.

    5. (last but not least) don't ever use the excuse that in 3 months you send out XXXX many records and people's emails & orders get lost in the mix because of work and school and other shit.

i'm only saying this to help you. people will see that this is going on and not want to deal with you. which in turn fans will talk about you to the bands you have on the RFC roster. and who wants to deal with someone who can't run a simple mail order.

*****.fly me to you. i'll show you how it's done. i've learned from a man who did mail order before the fucking internet was going down. and he managed just fine and grossed a million like it was nothing.

once again this kind of nonsense ruins any kind of scene or community. maybe that doesn't mean anything to you but it sure as hell means something to me. as a consumer and as a fan of independent music.

and this is just a suggestion.....but to the people buying these record...find these bands on tour or contact them and try to buy from them. let them know you want the record you just can't seem to get it from the label it's on!

  7. i wanna intern for you for 3 months and see all these orders. and then i wanna train you and whoever else you have working for you how to do mail order. i've been doing it for asian man records for the past 3 yrs. and nothing, NOTHING happens like this. we're a 3 people operation. so here's the deal, you buy my plane ticket, and i'll show you how things get done. i just don't like hearing about all this shit. all these small labels should be working together to make a community stronger. when people are waiting a yr or more for records that is unacceptable. no if's and's or but's about it. now i've done mail order so i know it's easy to fuck things up, i also know it doesn't take long to reply to emails or check to see if an order is sent. but i can tell you right now, that if i fucked up as half as bad as i've seen complaints on this board about your label, mike would have fired my ass yrs ago.

so you know....get this shit fixed and get the records that the bands on ur label recorded and you put out in to the peoples hands you sold them too.

    have a great day!

    wayne

  8. the harsh reality needs to fucking kick in with this dude.

If he can't stay on top of his mailorder, he needs to do one of the following:

1.farm it out to a bigger distro

2.shut his store off when he goes on tour

3.hire someone reliable to run it while he's gone

    4.stop running a label altogether.

I'm sick and tired of people complaining about this label and the very good chance that if you do place an order, you will not get it.

It bums me out for so many reasons that I'm getting so angry just thinking about, I can't even type anymore. There's a few of his records I would like to order but I refuse to gamble with this guy...had I known he was on tour with Fireworks I would have gone to the Chicago show a few weeks ago, found him and lectured him on how he's a irresponsible asshat and shouldn't be fucking around with peoples money like this.

when I calm down later I'll try to put together a rational response.

i usually keep to myself, but i back this 100%! well said, totally rational!

i've posted about this guy before. justin hit this shit right on the head. i would go with choice # 4. but thats just me!
