Well, it´s the original so it´s rarer, yeah. I dont know numbers, though. If you want a copy to listen to your best bet is probably the reissue CD on Blackball.

I agree and disagree. It's always a total bummer to see your favorite album NOT on vinyl because someone didn't want to do unlimited repressings. BUT, I also enjoy collecting. And absolutely the newest AMR pressing was waaay too small. I totally agree with you. I´m a collector myself but I don´t see the need in making real limited represses. Sure, I want every good record to be available on vinyl. But it´s not a secret that a lot of stuff is going to Ebay anyway. So why not honor the kids that are there when a record comes out and give them a real cool limited piece of vinyl. If someone jumps on the train years later that´s totally cool...there should be a repress if there´s demand but why make it even more limited than the first press on red wax (sticking to the D4 7´´)??? I don´t get it...my only explanation is that it sells better which is stupid...who buys a record because of its color...Hell, D4 could put out plain black wax for the rest of their lives and I´d still be there buying it. So...my point is: I believe many of today´s records are rather sold because of rarity than anything else. I don´t have any other explanation for the flood of records on ebay.

??? It was up for a good chunk of the day. And what does it matter which pressing has the rarest variant? It gets more and more difficult to keep track of new releases. To me it seems some of the collectibility is made up artificially. You know it´s only like 3-4 years ago when you could sit back order a record within the first 2 weeks of it´s release and be sure to score color vinyl. Come on, its crazy...everyone´s sitting in front of the comp and hits the refresh button 100 times a day...I mean don´t tell me you didn´t know 500 Lawrence Arms LP sell out that quick!? Damn, press a 1000 then. About the repressings: I don´t see the need in making a repress limited. If you want a 1st limited pressing go and shell out the bucks for it. If you just want the music go buy a repress. Why make a repress limited? Right, there´s only one reason: Make people buy it. I don´t accuse anyone for doing so and in the end it´s everyoné choice to buy it or not but overall it goes in the wrong direction I think.
