Oh geez....
"We're hoping we didn't oversell as well and will not be offering any more until we've secured these copies with our distros. The record was only solicited to us late this afternoon and we have already placed orders for more copies than have been offered on eBay or through our web store. I'll be calling our distributors first thing in the morning to secure as many as possible. If it is oversold, we will honor sales in the order they were received with the latest orders being refunded. Thanks!"

Wow, that is absolutely pathetic. Regardless of whether I snag my copy or not, I won't purchase from them again. Thanks for the heads up.

That's not the part I find strange. It's odd they are selling so many on eBay and they have them for sale in their webstore. This tiny shop seems to have hit the motherload. I might email them just to make sure they haven't oversold.
If you do, please let us know what they say. I snagged one from them earlier, but now I'm a bit leery...

Spectre Records has over 10 copies available on Ebay again. How does such a small record store get such a big allocation? Seems kinda odd.
Wondering the same thing. Does anyone have previous experience purchasing from them?

Was kinda meh at first, but it grew on me a lot in the past week. I like it as much as the S/T at this point. Love the heft of the 180g too.

It's a catch 22. They can't beat amoeba at the used/trade game, but they can't beat the prices/selection of the online outlets. Tough market for B&M's right now.
Hopefully crowds from the Echo will keep them afloat for the short run. Bonus money from selling Echo/Spaceland tickets should help too.

FYI everything is new. Like sealed and straight from labels. They are strictly only selling new vinyl. Nothing used. Nothing traded in. I happend to get Era Vulgaris at a decent price, but everything else is either exactly face value or a dollar or two over. No titles you can't get anywhere else. I don't know, it was pretty cool and the dudes there are awesome for sure, but nothing's stopping me from just getting the titles I want from my normal stores.
I figured as much.

one of my all time favorites as far all around music and packaging goes.
Speaking of a packaging, I got 2 of them a while ago and both arrived with the plastic sleeve split open at the seam. I'm assuming the Vinyl just burst through it. This happen to anyone else, or am I just unlucky?

Nope, mine is normal.

would love to know what color these are, also ordered from VC
I believe they are red. Not positive.

I am never going to score one of these...

Get a Godmother with the works.
If you're rockin' something wireless, you can order it online to-go and skip the wait at the counter. Amaaaaaazing sandwich. Worth it, trust me.

My opinion still stands and I have no idea how people don't agree with me. Is this the only forum you all visit?
You know, I actually agree with you. Personally, I prefer vBulletin. But you do realize that your idiotic trolling this morning renders your opinions moot, right? Nobody gives a shit (and rightly so) because you've proven yourself to be a moronic pest. One imagines that there were more constructive ways to get your point across. Oh well, c'est la vie.

Kid A is good, but lets be honest. OKC is the seminal album.

it is $40 for hte OK computer, much more than we have ever had to charge. And it looks like one of hte copies got listed to our ebay page.
Thanks for the info

sucks to be broke
Amen. Anyone know how much the OK Computer was going for, btw?

The jury still out for me on them...
I ordered two copies of the Into The Wild sountrack and ended up only getting one in the mail. After numerous contact attempts and even a message left on their voicemail, they finally got back to me and refunded me for the one never sent out...of course it's long sold out and commanding uber-high eBay prices now.
I believe they implemented a one-per-person policy for the Into the Wild vinyl. After they sold out they posted a message on the main page stating that they would review the orders and cancel any multiple orders. They subsequently relisted the copies that were available because of the cancellations.

I ordered the Into the wild soundtrack from them. The top of the jacket was split, but that's just bad luck. It was packaged very well, and it arrived quickly. They also threw in a free 7" with my order. Great site.

Also comes in white marble.

One more vote for foamy beer. A transparent orange/yellow with a white/cream splatter or outer ring would be dope.

I can't really tell. It doesn't look like it, unless it's in the paper sleeve with the LP. The other side of the gatefold only has the booklet, and there's nothing in the fold. I'm giving it to someone as a gift, so I don't want to open it. Sorry...

Responding to idiot
I don't care if you're an indie or Amazon. Don't blindly oversell your stock.
ETA: Won't bother to add a post to address your response, since you appear to have the maturity of a 12 year old. There's a reason I mostly lurk on these boards.
