  1. Hi everyone,

I used to post here pretty actively, but went pretty quiet due to a pretty shitty marriage and subsequent divorce. Now that I am free and back to living my best life, repaired my old turntable and buying records again, I've decided that I dont need 5 copies of some LPs like I thought when I was 23. Going through the collection and posting here before discogs and eBay.

I have the below copies of Alkaline Trio's "Goddamnit" Redux...all are First Pressing of /500 and in Near Mint if not Mint, but lets just call it Near Mint since some have a few dings in the sleeve from shipping and moving. Honestly, I dont think any of them have been played before and are in sealed plastic sleeves. Want to part with 4 of the 5, so, make me a reasonable shipped offer and lets talk. I know I saw some of these floating on Discogs for $60+, but I'll entertain a reasonable offer. Would like to do 1 copy per buyer, but I have no idea what kind of interest there will be, so, whatever.  Can send pictures and all that.

I just want to keep 1 copy, so first four to go get them.

    Thanks everyone.

  2. Shipping Specialist at Alternative Apparel. If you have ever bought our shit at a Norstrom, Macys, Bloomingdales, Hot Topic, Metro Park, Von Maur, Dillards, Urban Outfitter, Burlington Coat Factory, Loehmans or any other similiar place...you have me to thank for getting it there.

  3. I am pretty shocked how many people have so many favorite records of this year on here. I think once you have 25 "Favorite Records" you really just have 25 Records you liked a lot. I think by definition "favorite" entails some sort of exclusivity to it.

Make Do and Mend - "Bodies of Water"

Worn in Red - "In the Offing"

Favorite two records of the year. If you arent into them, get into them.

  4. - along with heisel, kept the PA in one piece, and the stage from collapsing during BTMI

Yo, I was in on that too, although you dudes did more saving of our PA than I did, even though it was our (Mose Giganticus') PA. Thanks dudes, shit was bonkers

The Sunday night Kickstand crowd claimed 100% of our Mic Stands though.

  5. Anyone ever dealt with Guitar Center? I have a 24 track Mixer i Need to get rid of, but I'm not getting any hits off of Craigslist. Last I heard guitar center doesnt just buy used shit and only take stuff on Trade-Ins. Anyone confirm this? I dont really need any kind of tradein, just some $$$

Also, anyone want to buy a Behringer Eurodesk 24 Track Studio mixer for a hot deal?

  6. Quit my job. Going on tour in a couple weeks. Dont want to get a job when I get back. This is where you come in...Dont really need or want any of these anymore. Make offers, etc.

  7. I started a thread about this about a year ago, but I didnt get much help. Trying again, seeing if anyone has anything creative in mind. I need to get two 4x12 guitar cabinets, a guitar or two, a guitar head and some other miscellaneous tour stuff from Atlanta to Philadelphia. I usually rent a car and drive it, but i have a real tight schedule and financial bummer. Anything know anything about any small run movers? Anyone driving form the south to the north and wanna make some easy turkey by carrying my gear?

    sweet.

  8. I am really bored with everything in my record collection and my iPod. Recently been way into Everyone Everywhere, Torche, Title Fight, and Into It Over It, but not really looking for clones of those bands. I really like what I've heard from Rosetta...where can I pick up one of there LPs?

Any usefull help/recomendations would be great. All I listen to is Bill Simmons' podcast these days.

  9. Mose Giganticus and The Emotron got invited back, so this'll be my 5th Fest. My girlfriend is coming down though, so I suppose this'll be my first "luxury" Fest experience, as i doubt she'll get into the whole "I have no idea where I am sleeping tonight" thing. Probably going to have to get a hotel room. Bummer.

Furthermore, it's June 7th, I can't believe their is already Fest hype. I'm going to have to stay away from the internet for like 7 months before i get over it before it even happens.

  10. I bought one for $1000 about 8 years ago. It's one of the two-channel ones that I think sound far superior to the three-channel model that they're making these days.

bought my dual rec with a Carvin Legacy steve vai edition 4x12 for $950...same deal, 2 channel (which sounds leaps and bounds better)

Coooooool, i guess? I mean, honestly I think every Mesa sounds the same. Single, Double, Triple, Mark IV and V. They all sound like a Mesa. I dunno, I never wanted this head, I just ended up with it through a whole crazy situation.

  11. Suuuup, I'm selling my Mesa Boogie Triple Rectifier. Its still in great condition and the tubes still have lots of life left in them. If you want to know more about the amp you can check it out here: http://www.mesaboogie.com/Product_Info/Rectifier_Series/Triple_Rectifier/triple_rectifier.html . Right now it's in a handmade/DIY case made out of particle board that I can leave it in or take it out of. I'll post pictures of it when I get back home tomorrow.

The amp is like, $1800 new, but I'm asking $1250 for mine. Its a great head, I'm just selling it because I am currently getting a custom head made for me. It's with me in Atlanta right now, but I'll meet you anywhere within 250 miles of here.

Please don't PM me or leave me a reply on here if you are interested. E-mail me at [email protected]

    thanks.

  12. I know there are lots of people on this board that are in awesome bands that arent like, O'Pioneers or run really great labels that arent No Idea or Asian Man. I get bored and just browse around and check out peoples bands that have links in their signature all the time and thought it would be neat to have all of that in one place. I know there was a "promote your band thread" once but i couldnt find it and, well, whatever.

So yeah, pimp your shit...your band, label, art, whatever with a RIYL or some insanley witty banter or short self-deprecating blurb about your stuff. Ill start...

    Benard (http://www.myspace.com/benardmusic)

Brian from punknews thinks we're a three star kind of band, and once compared us to Cursive, but later retracted it and said "Benard seem to be more caustic and noisy this time around. It's the sort of raucous, driving and searing post-hardcore you can tell Drive Like Jehu had a hand in influencing" which i think is way more accurate.

    Die Benny (http://www.myspace.com/diebenny)

Somewhere inbetween Fugazi, Scared of Chaka, Hot Water Music and Modest Mouse. Oh, and some Black Metal.

    Then I also tour with...

    Jena Berlin (http://www.myspace.com/jenaberlin)

A friend of mine said that Jena Berlin kind of sounds like what he imagined it would sound like if Brian Moss sang for the At The Drive-In, and they tried to write an A Wilhelm Scream records

    Mose Giganticus (http://www.myspace.com/mosegiganticus)

From the official Scott Heisel AP Fest blog: "Mose Giganticus is probably the best new band I've seen this weekend. Check these dudes out; it's heavy-as-shit stoner metal/rock with a keytar. For real." So, theres that.

I use to run a label called Alaska Records too, but, lets not talk about that.

Like i said, I'm sure there is a thread similar to this somewheres around here, and like I said, whatever.

  13. So i work for this pet sitting company where we take care of peoples animals when they (the owners) go out of town. This one client asked me to come at 7am and let her dog (a Vizsla - mad expensive dog) out of the crate, to feed her dog and her boyfriends two dogs, walk her dog, and then open the doggie door so the three dogs could go in and out of the house and into the fenced in back yard as they please all day long. Then she wanted me to come back around 10 to feed the dogs, walk her dog, close the doggie door and put her dog in the crate for the evening.

Well on New Years eve i went at 7:15 for the 7am visit and did everything that she asked...I had been taken care of this dog for close to a week now by this point so i knew all the ins and out of the house and etc. Came back at 9:45 for the evening visit, and her dog was not in the basement or in the backyard. They (again, the owners) had latched one of the gates with a rope and I found it opened enough for her dog to squeeze through. Spent all my new years eve driving around and walking through connecting roads and neighborhoods looking for this dog, calling other workers and neighbors and had a pretty good search team going for 4 hours or so looking for her dog. Put up Lost Dog signs everywhere, everything.

Boss call me the next morning to say that someone had found the dog two miles away. It had been hit by a car and was in real bad shape when they found it. Died at the vet.

I've spent every day of the new year taking pictures of the gate, talking with insurance agents, writing detailed reports of what i did every time i was in the house and doing all this other shit "just in case this thing has to go to court."

What a crazy fucking year already.
