this, basically, is what my initial post meant. i meant obamas initial response was "kind of scary" because he, like everyone else, treated it as a race issue..when in reality it wasnt at all. yea he said what he said with his facts, but his facts were wrong..the president should get his facts right before saying something like an entire police force of a city acted stupidly.

what obama said about the Henry Gates situation was pretty..."stupid" in the first place though. Which kind of shows a bit of how his initial thoughts go..which is kind of scary.

i just think they're going to try to make a sad, serious movie funny. or a funny movie sad and serious. the one trailer on tv already has basically said sandler's character is dying in it.

hah, but yeah its supposed to be sad at first, and this isnt a spoiler..its in the trailer, sandler gets better and then enjoys life more. that type of deal. apatow also said he wanted to make a serious movie that was funnier than his previous ones.

i think it looks pretty sweet. im excited jason schwartzman (sp?) is it in it. also. in the one of the trailers jonah hill is wearing a Beirut t-shirt...thought it was pretty neat.

holy shit yeah. the book is awesome. except...atleast for me, it always sucks reading a book after watching the movie. but go for it, i enjoyed the book more than the movie.
