I really wanted to pick up Pnemonia, but have heard nothing but terrible things about the LH anniversary series so I avoided it. Sucks that such a great album got such mediocre treatment all around.

My Pneumonia is pretty good, not great. Definitely better than the Gold 10th anniversary reissue.

Yeah, I had no interest on the reissue since I already had the black 180g issue. Glad I skipped on this one.

I read on punknews that it was going to be available in retail outlets. Anyone know if this is true?

Yeah, if you care at all about the limited nature of this boxset, you'll be buying the special edition set.

got this today. looks like its just clear, not so much coke bottle or green. very rad. haven't had a chance to listen yet.

You must have got the "clear plastic 2-liter coke bottle" version. Limited to 20. Haha.

You must have got lucky (or I got unlucky). My clear Pnemonia from Lost Highway is the worst record I have ever heard (at least in terms of a brand new record).

Either you got a shitty copy or I'm not as discerning. Sounds perfectly acceptable to me. Is it the greatest pressing of all time? no -- but certainly passable..

They have huge QA/QC issues at LH. Some Pneumonia copies are shit, some are ok.

KingsRoad Europe still has the blue. It'll be a wee bit more, but hey, it'll probably be cheaper than ebay.

I dont think there was a preorder. I know Ryan was really disappointed with the quality of those LH 10th anniversary pressings. Not sure if he had any say in whether or not this got cancelled. Also Rock N Roll was cancelled as well.

Dont have to be rich to afford 2 grand. It's a long term investment, but I'm sure if you were active with it on ebay, you could make your money back entirely within a few years, then the rest is just gravy. I could sell-off part of my record collection and come up with the money pretty easily.

Somebody ended up wildly overpaying for The Rescue Blues and NTYG 7"s on ebay over the weekend. Unbelievable for records that have both been played a few times.

I don't know if you guys are interested in this at all or not, but the company recently bought 90 skids (about 100,000 records) that have been sitting in a warehouse since the mid 90's. I have a partial list of some of the stuff that we've pulled out of there. The majority of the stuff is $3.98 and is new not used, but a little dinged up. It's great stuff to build you collection. There was a colored marble variant of the 2008 Ryan adams - heartbreaker up on discogs last week. It was on sale for 20 bucks but colored variants are going on ebay for 200+. seller obviously didnt know what he had.
