I know Bags Unlimited carries these (the plastic cards w/ the tab on the top) for separating records in bins - but they're $1 each, seems a bit high for a piece of plastic. Are these available cheaper anywhere else, or does anyone have any ideas for a less expensive solution?

With all this extra money, bridge 9 should start posting pressing numbers on their records. Anyone got an idea for the strike anywhere 7" or the polar bear club records?

chris from b9 basically said all of the money from these auctions are going to pay debts off to pressing plants... they've done so many releases in the last 6-12 months that they apparently owe a decent chunk of change to places. haha

I can't stress enough how much we appreciate the response to the ebay auction - we've only done auctions like this a handful of times in the labels history - and it's only ever when push comes to shove. All independent businesses have to deal with cash flow issues, and when you invest in a lot of records, you have to be able to wait till the $ comes back to you, usually 3-4 months after street date. In the past 6 months, we've released EIGHTEEN different vinyl titles, and 9 different CD's, so it's safe to say we overextended a bit. All of the $ brought in by the auction is going to cover pressing plant bills this week, who've graciously worked with us as we racked up a pretty diesel tab, to help cover some bills.

In the future, we'll try and space things out a bit!

Seems kinda shitty when a label holds back selling limited releases only to ebay them. If it's for charity, that's one thing, but this...

this guy has obviously never fronted the $ to release a record

seriously though, it's been YEARS since we've done one of these auctions, and with the economic climate as it is...

We put out like 15 records in the past 4 months (on both vinyl & CD formats). We won't see a distro check for most of them for another month or two at the earliest. We got bills to pay, so when push comes to shove, just like any other person who's familiar with eBay, up it goes!

100% of the proceeds will be going to put out new records, so I appreciate anyone who is able to take part in the auction.

again, VERY sorry about the delay... single copies have shipped, but package deals started shipping out yesterday, because of a holdup with the t-shirts. We print most of our tees with tagless B9 labels, and between having to group all of our shirts together for the label printing and then our print shop getting hit with a ton orders for that Boston fest this past weekend, the works got gummed up a bit. In our quest to have perfect t-shirts we missed our deadline but we appreciate everyones patience, we'll be getting everything out ASAP.

Hopefully tomorrow, our mailorder person is out all week (came in today to help set up the pre-order) but we've got someone helping out in his absence, I'll make sure she goes through any emails...

Kinda pissed I stayed up all night for this when there's no rare version that you can buy singly (unlike some past B9 releases)

the "tour pressings" aren't the rarest versions, so anyone who orders single records from us will get the rarest first... if they order 2, we'll include the 2nd color if we still have it. we just put one picture up in the store, but rest assured if you ordered one record (early enough - won't know till tomorrow if we sold out of the rarest version), you will get it w/o having to order the package.

B9 in my experience ships really fast, and I don't think they post pre-orders until they physically have the records at hand.

thanks Preston! Matt+Co. are on their game but we've got so many records lined up through October that we needed to get this pre-order up a week earlier than we'd like to make sure we don't double up on what's next... Shouldn't be too much of a wait...

couldn't be happier with how these came out - the vinyl colors for the new EP are perfect and the gloss/emboss of the 12", whoa.

it's true, new album on B9 in October... STOKED about finally getting to work with them, I had expressed interest in doing the vinyl for their first EP back in '00 but couldn't get it. The album is so, so good too... It's been said to be their best yet...

thanks to everyone who ordered a mystery box, the past week has been hectic trying to pack them up (i spent two solid days helping matt with them) and we've been making every effort to personalize each order - which takes way longer than i would have thought... a TON of rare/older stuff has been mixed in with the orders a lot of great stuff that hasn't made it to the messageboards yet but should be cool to see when it does. If we didn't have good items that matched the bands you listed, we tried to at least do something that was along the same lines, so if you said "Death Before Dishonor" we weren't going to send you New Found Glory... Maybe you'll get something you'll end up liking? I would hope that MOST people who listed AN and got a limited to 50, eight year old screenprint from a CBGB's show would be STOKED! also we've still got a TON of orders to fill so some orders might take a little longer to arrive, we appreciate your patience. We didn't realize that this mystery box was going to get this big of a response, but who can resist the allure of a mystery box?
