  1. The records are at KOD HQ now I think, so they should have some. Micah also had some on the recent Lemuria tour, so If he's back they might be in the UG merch store or something. Hopefully we'll bring UG to the UK this year.
  2. ROIDH7/KODXXXX Unwelcome Guests play replacements style pop-punk, their recent album "Don't go swimming" found itself on quite a few "best of 2010" lists, from Buffalo, NY (home of Failures Union and Lemuria) they follow a similar style. For fans of Replacements, Husker Du, and other mid-90's indie rock bands. http://unwelcomeguests.bandcamp.com/album/255s-split The 255s play noisey indie-rock, aimed for Superchunk but missed. "Broadcasting" found itself on 1 "best of 2010" list depsite being released in 2009. Recently toured the UK with Brothers. For fans of Superchunk, Archers of Loaf, Ted Leo, Bedford Falls. http://the255s.bandcamp.com The split is a co-released with ROIDH and Kiss of Death, so i'm not getting my copies until early Feb, but early orders really help me and the band out. We have so much stuff to repair after our tour. You can order the record from here; http://roidh.bigcartel.com Its £3 + Shipping. Thanks Andy ROIDH
  3. Hey folks. So we just finished our Tour of the South and Wales with BROTHERS of Exeter who were the most Awesome people and best band. It was a great tour and we miss those guys (and gal) more than ever. Southsea fest was an experience, we all enjoyed it very much, what of it we can remember anyways. However, we are so unbelievably broke after it, i’ve reduced the price of our t-shirts on our Big Cartel page to £4 a go, that is less than what the shirts cost us to make. They are printed on the most awesomely comfortable Continental shirts. I’m also uploading a couple of new songs to our Bandcamp page, Caffeine is going to be on a split 7” with UNWELCOME GUESTS from Buffalo New York, fans of the Replacements, Huskers and other mid 90’s indie-rock influenced punk bands will be into this Record. It will be a split release between Kiss of Death Records and ROIDH. You can listen to the song on our bandcamp page here; http://the255s.bandcamp.com/album/new-songs-un-released I’ll upload another one later this week. We don’t have much in the way of out of town shows for a bit, but we do have a few in Manchester for a change, so people on our “home turf” come out and have some fun - 7th October - The Star and Garter w/RVIVR 5th November - Manchester w/Cynics (? I think) - More Details TBA 26th November - Fuel, Manchester w/WELL WISHER I think we’re playing a Carefully Planned Gig in December, more details soon. Thats all we know for now, thank you for you continued support. http://the255s.com

  9. Wow, turns out I have an account here. I run a sporadic distro in the UK and I get a lot of my stuff wholesale from No Idea, i've sold bits of VC stuff in the UK (Look mexico/fake problems split, ninja gun/whiskey&co, in the red volume 2) but the problem i've found specifically with VC released stuff is that because of the "pre-order culture" of this label, a lot of people who buy stuff from me buy VC stuff direct (or at least, I assume they do) because they're either unsure whether a record will sell out, or they want a specific variant that I may not be able to get through my wholesalers, or because its VC only. I don't know if that applies to people in the states but i'd say there is an inherit problem with generating pre-order hype / variant hype. I would be interested in buying from you wholesale but given the time it takes to get records here, its not really worth the "risk" of buying 5 copies if 4 of the people who would buy it, ordered it directly from you. Hope that makes sense. Maybe if you want to push more distros once you get out of this debt, make it better for them, ship stuff to distros 2 weeks before everyone else gets there, or make disto-only variants, rather than VC only variants.
  10. Totally into trading with labels on any continent too.
