  1. The Cowboy - ST LP
"What do you get when you add 2/3 of Homostupids to 1/2 of Pleasure Leftists? You get Cleveland's most explosive new act, THE COWBOY!
Do the math, it checks out. These three gringos are confident enough in their chops to make the bold move of having their debut not just be twelve inches long but also twelve tracks long. Only seasoned veterans such as the gentlemen of THE COWBOY could pull off such a daring feat.
Every one of these dozen songs is Grade A rock guitar beef Americano style, with that homegrown flavor Clev-O is so famous for. Grab your knife and fork a dig in for two sides of prime cuts. Now that the title of America's Greatest Rock'n'Roll Band seems to be up for grabs again, these fellas are throwing their hats in the ring and it's certainly not their first rodeo. So saddle up, Sally, and LET'S GO!"

    Downtown Boys - ST 7"
We originally pressed this for Downtown Boys debut UK tour last year and it sold out straight away, so we have repressed it again as they are going to be touring the UK again, in October (an in support of their incredible new LP) with Priests, we only have a small amount in the store (the band will have them on tour), so don't sleep!

"Sure, this will be a controversial superlative, but fuck it, I’m going out on a limb and declaring right now: Downtown Boys are currently the best active punk band in the United States.
I don’t make such statements carelessly.
Providence, Rhode Island’s Downtown Boys may not be a household name, even in most punk houses, but they should be. The six-piece utilizes highly danceable manic punk blasts as a soapbox for their confrontational but heartfelt radical political screeds. The self-billed “bilingual political sax dance punk party” draws many influences together to create something that sounds familiar enough to pull you onto its frantic wavelength, but refreshing enough to keep you there. One might detect hints of The Fall, Bikini Kill, The Contortions, and The Ex, as much as the obvious comparison, X Ray Spex, who Downtown Boys share more in common with sonically than simply a saxophone and female singer."

  2. Originally released on Tape and now mastered for vinyl by North London Bomb Factory.

Sometimes you just realise that everything you’ve listened to up until that moment is absolute shit. It might last a second, it might last forever. The important thing is that you understand the following: whatever you’ve devoted your ears to for a lifetime can’t hold a candle to the sounds reverberating around your skull in that precise instant.

In case you haven’t guessed already (jeez, I gotta spell everything out for you?!?), The Cowboys are the sort of band who’ll inspire that exact feeling.

Ok, ‘inspire’ isn’t the right word. More like they’ll slap you about the ears with their punk’n’roll mess, whether channelling Jello Biafra fronting Thee Mighty Caesars (or Billy Childish fronting the Dead Kennedys? Ehhh, one of the two. Or both) or a half-cut Glen Campbell setting fire to his copy of Meat Puppets II while it’s spinning on the turntable. The surfy pop of The Barracudas, left too long on a radiator and melting all over the carpet. Devo chilling out, maxing and relaxing all cool before bursting into the sort of sound that feels like having hairs pulled out of your nostrils with rusty tweezers. They’ll bash you furiously about the head with pillows and gently tickle the nape of your neck with ragged blades.

Know what I’m talking about? No? Oh, just listen to the damn record and let ‘em electrify you. Trust me, it’ll all make sense.

  3. TV Crime released one of the best 7"s of 2016 last year on Static Shock, they are back and we are excited to release their brand new double A side 7".

If you were to walk past TV Crime’s rehearsal room, seventh beer of the evening in one hand and ears still blown out from standing in front of a moshpit-aimed speaker stack the night before, you could be forgiven for thinking, ‘Hey, not bad, kinda like Royal Headache’n’stuff.’ Ok yeah, they’re not worlds away from Shogun’s band of garage-centric Sydneysiders – but there’s way more to it than just stripped-back rock’n’roll. This Nottingham band is very much its own entity.

In TV Crime you’ll find glam rock. Pub rock. Detroit soul. London punk. The hip-shaking sway of The Dirtbombs colliding head-on with the yob-fop powerpop of The Boys, only smarter and dumber and WAY MORE FUN than that sounds. In Clocking In and Clocking Out, the two tracks from this good old-fashioned double A-side 7”, you’ll find songs about the best and worst parts of the day (c’mon, we all know which is which), each delivered with the same amount of exuberance and just itching to transmit themselves from your turntable to your ears. They're the sound of pool cues ripping felt from the table as a deliberate part of the most audacious trick shot of all time, with ashtrays being emptied into pint glasses as part of a nutritious breakfast. For fuck’s sake, just listen to ‘em.

  4. Marvelous Mark - Buzzin' LP

Out Friday, first 100 on transparent pink

Formerly of Toronto’s blown-out noisepop superstars The Marvelous Darlings, Mark Fosco hasn’t exactly rested on his laurels since that band broke up. Instead, he’s picked up where they left off – now recording as Marvelous Mark, he dropped debut solo LP Crushin’ last year via Drunken Sailor, and it proved not only what a ludicrously talented songwriter he is, but also how much fun can be had with a guitar, a fuzzbox and a whole lotta hooks.

Buzzin’ collects the two EPs that preceded that album – Husband Material and Bite Me – together with seven brand new demos, and it’s another essential dose of woozy yet muscular powerpop. Recalling Teenage Fanclub circa Thirteen, Weezer at their catchiest and Slowdive hiding their steroids in thick clouds of weed smoke. It’ll shred your speakers even as it gets your head nodding and your toes tapping – you’ll be singing along and demanding more before you know it.

  5. Cheap Whine - ST LP, now up for Pre-Order. Out Friday 14th July.

Cheap Whine sound like classic 70s punk always sounds in your head, but somehow never quite lives up to. Nagging powerpop melodies, frantic energy in abundance and enough snot to fill a swimming pool – mind you, that shouldn’t come as a surprise once you learn who’s involved. Steve Adamyk has been crafting nuggets of two-minute genius with his own band and Sedatives for the last decade, while Eric French makes sweet, sweet trash pop with Feral Trash. Add the powerhouse drumming of CrusadesJordy Bell and you’ve got a recipe for mind-blowing, heart-racing magic, which they serve up in deliciously moreish chunks.

Marked Men/Chinese Telephones/Ringers fans, listen up. They sing like they just got turfed out of a bar for throwing peanuts at playboys, and they play like they’re skating through plate glass windows. The ideal amount of fucks are given. What’s more, in closing tracks Best Times and Letter to J, they might just have written the perfect one-two suckerpunch combo of powerpop classics. I’ll take two.

    Cell - Demo 7"
The first time I heard this demo it totally floored me, easily the best demo i have heard in ages.
Hailing from Montreal and featuring members of Remwar, Vile Intent, Sek and Terse.
Crushing Hardcore/ Punk, reverb drenched aestheticized vocals, song structures that whilst having a firm root in Hardcore also give a nod to some more of the harder metal bands.
Almost suffocating under the total wall of sound, one of the best debut records you will hear this year.

Repressed on Black Vinyl (with labels too), 390 copies, don't miss out on this. One of the best bands going, crazy snotty punk from Indiana, manages to remind you of every great KBD band whilst being totally of the day. Mat Williams is a genius and you ain't gonna convince me otherwise.

It's dark, paranoid, tight as hell, 12 songs and not one of them tops the 2 minute mark, no messing around, every song just hits you. If you like your punk, nasty, driven and bleak, this is for you.

  8. ***NOTE THIS IS A PRE-ORDER, RECORDS ARE DUE TO SHIP ON FRIDAY 7TH APRIL, ANYTHING YOU ORDER WITH THIS RECORD, WILL SHIP AT THE SAME TIME***

Slimy Member are a four piece dark punk act from Dallas, Texas, founded in late 2013. Their name obviously comes from the title of a song on Rudimentary Peni’s seminal “Death Church” LP. Now, Rudimentary Peni are one of the most insanely good bands of whatever genre you want to place them in (Anarchopunk? Deathrock? 80s hardcore punk? None/all of the above?).
Just like their forebears, Slimy Member play a foul, freshly-rotten-from-the-tombs, foetid style of anarcho-deathrock-influenced schizo-punk that is at some points mid-tempo – even downright Sabbath-y or doomy, when it wants to be – and at other times spastic, frenetic, paranoid, out of control.
"Ugly Songs is killer, mean fun, an amalgamation of different sources of darkness, dripped down into a cool-as-fuck record."

Hailing from Nova Scotia, Canada and featuring members of Fragment, Grump, Negative Rage, Science Project, Alienation, etc....
    BOOJI BOYS

From the first time I heard this band I fell in love. Stupidly catchy hooks and melodies offset with the best warbled/ distorted vocals. It's the best. If you want reference points, think kinda Coneheads/ Liquids but totally mixed with some pop, with of course a little DEVO.
It's raw, undistilled, fucked up punk rock 'n roll, there's an urgency that drags you in, ain't no stopping Booji Boys.

Ottawa’s Crusades began in 2009, comprised of Jordan Bell on drums, Scott McCash on bass/vocals, Emmanuel Sayer on guitar/vocals, and Dave Williams on guitar/vocals. Prior to Crusades’ formation, the four members played in such established local bands as Sedatives, The Creeps, Buried Inside, The Steve Adamyk Band and others.

The band’s initial and ever-evolving goal is to examine profound personal and universal topics – love, art, life, death, etc – through a lens of freethinking and atheism, offering a critical perspective rooted in philosophical, political, musicological, poetic and historical study.

The album was recorded in Spring 2016 by Mike Bond at Wolf Lake Studios in Lac-Des-Loups, QC, with additional tracking by Crusades' own Jordan Bell at Atomic Audio Inc. here in Ottawa. It was mixed by Matt Bayles (the sonic wizard behind myriad masterpieces from Tragedy, Mastodon, Botch, The Murder City Devils, From Ashes Rise ... not to mention Pearl Jam, Deftones, Alice in Chains, etc.) at his own Red Room Recording in Seattle, WA, and mastered/co-produced by Martin Bowitz and Jørgen Smådal Larsen (Bowitz/Larsen of The Spectacle, Cold Mailman, Kråkesølv and more) at Strype Audio in Oslo, Norway.

  11. S.B.F. is a project made up by two Californian dudes that you’ve probably already heard of at one point or another, assuming that you’ve been keeping a close eye on my channel over these past few months: these two dudes are Cruz Somers—the guy behind L.A.’s Socialites (including the project’s live outfit, which features Raymond on guitar, his eponymously-named solo-projects (notably “UV-B” and “Beneath My Blood”.

S.B.F. seems like a delightfully-eccentric halfway point between Cruz’s “UV-B” and Raymond’s “Race Car”, with the two sharing a similar light-hearted sense of melodiousness and techy-influence when it comes to the blatant drum machine usage, while doing without some of the gloomier aspects of UV-B’s musicianship.

Not-surprisingly enough, the merger between Cruz’s vicariousness and Raymond’s succulent twang (I feel REALLY dirty saying that) makes for an utterly-infectious collection of quirky melodies, being further accentuated by the dissonance brought forth by their dual-guitar set-up

Liquids - Hot Liqs LP (repress)
16 brand-spanking-new recordings from this fantastic Indiana punk rock n’ roll group
“Hot Liqs” is a total god-send. Sixteen new Liquids recordings, making a return to approximately 75% of their songs that have found their way onto cassettes in the past, along with what I believe to be a completely new instrumental, “Howdy”. By now, everybody is already way past-familiar with the Liquid’s splendor, but be prepared to be impressed even further with the majority of these recordings.
A number of these tracks have such radical changes that can instantly revitalize year-old material. “Sick Shit”, “Dumb as Fuck”, and “Heart Beats True” are the first few songs with significant changes that come to mind, but a number of other tracks follow suit by further embellishing the already brilliant music through additional chords and hot, hot licks.
The Liquids has never sounded so fresh before. It may only have one new song, but this is easily my most favorite Liquids release, hands down. So many gems make a much welcome return, like “I Killed Donald Trump” (now stylized as “I Killed D.T.) and “Permission Slip”. Hell, “Dumb as Fuck” only appeared on their “Live at Mat’s House” cassette, meaning this is the song’s first real appearance on a stand-alone release, as far as I can tell. I think it goes without saying about how good this release is, it’ll be sure to woo anyone who considers themselves a Liquids fan."

  12. 2 new records up in the store for Pre-Order (Hakan LPS are actually here and will ship straight away, Generacion Suicida LP release date is  Friday 16th December but should ship before.)

    Generacion Suicida - Sombras LP
Generacion Suicida are creators and innovators of a special underground punk scene in South Central Los Angeles, bringing together kids from the neighbourhood along with other LA punks from across the city to chaotic and DIY shows held in a garage in their back garden! They are taking a couple weeks away and will be making their first trip to the UK and Ireland in January! For those not familiar, they play fast paced, melodic punk channeling the sounds of KBD-style punk, ZEROS or the RAMONES and really are one of the most exciting live bands in punk today.

Released in Europe to coincide with their UK tour in January.
Sombras is the third LP from Los Angeles' Generacion Suicida. Jangly guitars, male/female vocals, the group is obviously influenced by the Vicious and Eskorbuto, but retain the sound they have been playing for years, and once again keep that classic sound fresh, exciting, and most importantly relevant. 10 new tracks recorded in 2016.
400 on Black Vinyl, 200 on Blue Vinyl.

07/01 - New River Studios, London
08/01 - The Owl Sanctuary, Norwich
    09/01 - Lughole, Sheffield.

Featuring members of The Snookys, here's a band concept for you: Italians obsessed with Turkish popular culture, playing a killer mix of garage punk and power pop. Think early Marked Men with a snottier edge, Radioactivity, Kidnappers, even Mind Spiders and it's no surprise that Jeff Burke recorded this record. Mastered by Daniel Husayn at North London Bomb Factory

  13. The Cowboys - ST LP
Released on Lumpy in the US, excited to give this a Euro release. First 100 on Blue Vinyl, rest on Pink Vinyl.
The Cowboys hail from Bloomington, Indiana, after releasing several cassettes, release this amazing debut LP. Ramshackle, lo-fi, sloppy, and awesome. Garage punk takes the music back to its 60s roots, and that's why we love it

There's a definite pre-punk sensibility here... Martin from Lumpy Records compared them to the Gizmos, but I also hear plenty of other pre-/proto-punk correlations like the Bizarros, the Dead Boys, and even a bit of tough, retro 60s garage a la Billy Childish (something is very Milkshakes-esque about several of the tracks here). The songs are all really different from one another, ranging from an early Dead Kennedys-esque, proto-hardcore kind of shuffle to tough melodic punk to more 60s, and even 50s-inspired sounds that bear a passing resemblance to Buddy Holly. It sounds like it would be all over the place, but it's not... it's all tied together with solid playing and a nice DIY aesthetic. SORRY STATE RECORDS.

Hailing from Minneapolis and featuring members of The Retainers, W.H. Walker, and Cheap Time.

  15. 3 records all up in the store today to PRE-ORDER (Should ship around the 9th September)

    Dark Thoughts - ST LP

With 10 of 12 tracks coming in under two minutes and the band making minimal use of chords, you could easily be misled into thinking you've heard this album thousands of times before. But actually, you haven't.
Dark Thoughts finds some separation from the pack that’s linked above by virtue of being effectively straightforward in a genre that tends to grow stagnant whenever anyone’s foolish enough to attempt the feat. So many bands have tried and failed miserably at songs that are frequently (and unfairly) categorized as Ramones-core and while Dark Thoughts certainly embraces an archetype, it does so with an infallible mixture of venom and pure feeling.
Every song on Dark Thoughts would be a worthy single but the record functions its own standalone entity as well; Dark Thoughts is a sublime piece of insanely well-informed genre work that skews as close to Fix My Brain as it does Rocket to Russia

First 100 on Red Vinyl, comes with instant download.

Next up, the second solo record from Sadie Switchblade (G.L.O.S.S.)

Dyke Drama - Up Against The Bricks LP

Dyke Drama seems to be Switchblade’s outlet for songs of the stirring and heartsick variety, and she navigates through punk anthemics, Replacements-core pointedness, and countryfied storytelling with ease.
The album opens with “Rolling Tears”, starting with an acoustic guitar and changing pace suddenly, setting the mood for the record. She opens up about her relationship struggles in “Crying In A Bathroom Stall,” showing uninhibited emotion as she sings about coping with heartbreak: “I dunno how I’m gonna live, how I’m gonna live through this” and shares her feelings towards cis women and their lack of understanding in “Cis Girls”, saying “You say I’m second to none, like I ain’t second best.” The album ends with “Some Days I Load My Gun”, a harrowing acoustic track about contemplating suicide

First 100 on Blue Vinyl, comes with instant download

Tough Tits - Hairless 7" EP
Shouty, synthy punk band from Newcastle upon Tyne.

    CO-RELEASE WITH FRUX TAPES

Originally released on Frux Tapes, we are proud to team up with Frux to bring the songs to vinyl.
Title track Hairless is the best introduction to this band, a bass-led track with a low down and dirty guitar riff underpinning the shouty vocals. There is a vitality to all of these tracks, an urgency in the playing that rubs against the frustration of the words; a sort of weariness with the state of things that broods into anger and action.
Assertive and feminist; raucous, rough-around-the-edges garage punk. Check out the songs and an interview on Noisey HERE
300 on black vinyl, comes with instant download.

We have loads of stuff in the works, next up is LIQUIDS - Hot Liqs LP, Color TV - Demo 7", The Cowboys - ST LP, Adult Magic 7" EP.
New stuff in the distro all the time from Lumpy, Dirt Cult, Dead Broke, Total Punk, Red Lounge, Secret Identity, Sabotage etc etc

  16. *This a pre-order but the records should be here anytime now*

After touring together last year in the US, what else are Wonk Unit (UK) and Raging Nathans (US) gonna do. Release a split 7" of course.
Raging Nathans play some of the best 'Lookout kinda Pop-Punk, hailing from Dayton, Ohio. You want three chord, melodic, bangers? Here you go. Some genius once said "Listening to The Raging Nathans is like having a handful of cold ones, and going on a tubin’ trip to the river, to provide a nice respite from the summer heat." Yeah, I'd go with that.

Wonk Unit, original, totally unique, off the wall craziness. Wonk Unit are much more than that though, with songs that are fun, energetic, heartfelt, thought provoking, angry, hilarious, exciting and catchy as fuck.
Never afraid to push boundaries, whilst having a sound born out of Snuff/ Wat Tyler/ China Drum, they still have an originality that makes them unique.
Catch them both on tour in the US again this October.
