Has anyone received their order from 1-2-3-4 Go Records? I got a tracking number a few days ago but it's still stuck at "Electronic shipping info received".

Oh, and I wouldn't be surprised if they pressed it at United. I swear these people melt down old shoes for the vinyl and make sure that there is at least one scratch on the vinyl before packaging it. I think RSD should list, in addition to listing how many records are pressed, WHERE it was pressed. My Soundgarden singles RSD and other recent releases (i.e., Cold War Kids) were pretty warped and marked up. 

 

I am tired of getting hyped for a new release only to unravel the shrink, pull out the LP, and find that ghastly "U" inscribed in a circle.  

 

Sorry this has turned into a crappy pressing plant rant....

I've never had any problems with records pressed by United.

I know a few people were looking for this.

Damn, I got a copy shipped from Finland for $14 total.

Welp, Turntablelab still hasn't shipped my Paramore vinyl. Ordered it the 22nd as soon as it was put up. Order says paid and fulfilled so I'm not sure what the hold up is. Their CS replies to me regarding it's status haven't been really helpful.

 

My other two rsd purchases from them shipped with tracking with no issues.

That's very strange. I got shipping confirmation for the Paramore record from them about 5 minutes after I bought it, and got the tracking number about 2 hours later.

Does anyone know of others stores that may have the Sky Ferreira picture disc? I was counting on Saki since my order hadn't been cancelled over the last few days, but obviously that changed earlier.

Saki order for Night Time My Time was just cancelled. I've joined the club. 

Might want to check on it. I had an order last year that just sat there for a week. Contacted them and they had no idea about it or what happened and ended up canceling it.

Off topic, but same thing happened to me when I ordered the Swamp Thing 7" from Hellfish. I wound up having to email them because nothing had come, so they sent me the subscription-only oos pressing of the record as an apology. Was very cool of them.

No problem. Skully'z had all of the ones that got away this RSD. This year, I am officially out of the maw of eBay flippers!!!! Unless of course I decide not to bid on Jack White's Lazaretto, which can't be found anywhere else, really.  

 

Here's my friendly advice to people still searching for that "elusive" disc:

 

Stop obsessively refreshing those familiar websites: BullMoose, Earcandy, Turntable Lab, Amoeba, etc. They are pushing the envelope in being "independent" record outfits anyway. 

 

Instead, go out to RSD's participating venues at http://www.recordstoreday.com/Venues. Look at local record shops and then branch out from there. Find the listed shop's Facebook pages and find the phone numbers. Pick up that phone!

 

I've learned that in spite of it being 2014, a lot of truly independent record shops are still "low-tech" and do not have the capability to keep a live database (or even a website). In addition, posting leftover RSD stock to a site like Discogs is pretty expensive (8% + paypal fees), so I can see why small record shops go the Facebook route. Facebook is a very low-cost option to get the word out there.

Yes TTL is really that fast. They are on top of their shit. Glad they are in my town and was luckily to pick up most of my RSD purchases from them. Great guys and amazing little store!

I'll have to check them out when I'm back in a few weeks. I've only ever been to Generation.

Ah true yea they've been a let down from everyone that's tried Saki so far... That's even happened to me with non RSD

Knock on wood, but I haven't gotten a cancellation from Saki yet.

I got shipping notification 5 minutes after I ordered. It might be because TTL is a 10 minute walk from my work.

Conversely, while TTL is 20 minutes from my hometown, it is 2000+ miles from where I am right now.

I got the order confirmation for Paramore like 5 minutes ago from TurntableLab, and just now got a shipping confirmation. Are they really that fast???

So while madly refreshing multiple pages on 2 computers this morning I accidentally placed 3 orders for the Set Your Goals - Reset 10". I emailed them immediately asking to cancel the second two orders, but just got confirmation saying all my orders are packaged up an will go out with their next shipment. If anybody wants this they can have it for cost ($17) plus shipping. PM me if you're interested. 

Not to get off topic, but did you do that Ivy League/Turno/Maker/SG split?
