tas4
So out of the blue, my turntables audio will only come out of one speaker, while the other will just produce a hum. I thought maybe the receiver in my room had something faulty going on, so I hooked it up to the big sound system in my living room and i'm yielding the same results. The receiver in my room has to go through a preamp. The receiver in my living room has a phono input so I dont need the preamp, so i'm ruling out a preamp problem. Any ideas as of what might be going on? I have tested both setups, and both speakers work on either set up when listening to the radio or tv. It's only when the turntable is plugged into the receiver that only one speaker will output music, while the other one hums. I'm stumped! Please help. tas4
Loose cartridge! Took it out and tightened everything and it works fine now. You can close this. Thanks!
