lechevre
So anyone need/want an external floppy drive? It's been used a handful of times and in great condition. PM me if you need details. I know no one probably needs/wants this but hey I was cleaning and didn't really want to just toss it or goodwill it. Which I will (goodwill) if no one bites. Thanks. akross
I actually use my floppy drive at work for activation of Logic Controller programming software. The floppy has to be in the drive each time the program is started. We are getting new computers next week without floppy drives and I am pissed that I have to use an external, causes chaos in my fung shooey or whatever... No, the software comes with a floppy keyed to the serial number. We have tried putting it on a USB key, but it doesn't work. Newer versions of the software come with some kind of online registration that locks it to a specific PC, but it ain't cheap. Oh well, not like I am paying for any of this anyways
