post office

Recommended Posts

have any of you ever gone on an extended trip and had to stop your mail? im leaving for about a week with my fam and my step-mother insists on stopping the mail as opposed to having someone come and pick it up for us. i have several records that will likely arrive while im away and i am freaking out over having them sit at the post office for the week. has anyone else done this? does anyone know of a way to make a special request with the post office to take special care of packages? what should i do??? calm my nerves please!!!

You can actually fill out a form to hold your mail on their website:

https://holdmail.usps.com/duns/HoldMail.jsp

It's free and you can set it to automatically resume, too. I always do that when I go on vacation anywhere so stuff sits in an air-conditioned post office building instead of on my front porch where it could get water-damaged, warped, stolen, etc.
