zachobbs
I know there are lots of people on this board that are in awesome bands that arent like, O'Pioneers or run really great labels that arent No Idea or Asian Man. I get bored and just browse around and check out peoples bands that have links in their signature all the time and thought it would be neat to have all of that in one place. I know there was a "promote your band thread" once but i couldnt find it and, well, whatever. So yeah, pimp your shit...your band, label, art, whatever with a RIYL or some insanley witty banter or short self-deprecating blurb about your stuff. Ill start... Benard (http://www.myspace.com/benardmusic) Brian from punknews thinks we're a three star kind of band, and once compared us to Cursive, but later retracted it and said "Benard seem to be more caustic and noisy this time around. It's the sort of raucous, driving and searing post-hardcore you can tell Drive Like Jehu had a hand in influencing" which i think is way more accurate. Die Benny (http://www.myspace.com/diebenny) Somewhere inbetween Fugazi, Scared of Chaka, Hot Water Music and Modest Mouse. Oh, and some Black Metal. Then I also tour with... Jena Berlin (http://www.myspace.com/jenaberlin) A friend of mine said that Jena Berlin kind of sounds like what he imagined it would sound like if Brian Moss sang for the At The Drive-In, and they tried to write an A Wilhelm Scream records Mose Giganticus (http://www.myspace.com/mosegiganticus) From the official Scott Heisel AP Fest blog: "Mose Giganticus is probably the best new band I've seen this weekend. Check these dudes out; it's heavy-as-shit stoner metal/rock with a keytar. For real." So, theres that. I use to run a label called Alaska Records too, but, lets not talk about that. Like i said, I'm sure there is a thread similar to this somewheres around here, and like I said, whatever.
lokithelion
Mose Giganticus sounds like if Quincy Jones produced a Bane record. Shit rules.
minty
I've said it before, but people should really check out Justin's band Only Thunder.
