Another box of the Owen "the ep" 12" got lost on its way to the United States. We have only four copies left...once they are gone, they're gone.

Hello everybody. We have two new releases scheduled for september and october. The first one is Snailhouse's "Lies on the Prize", which will definitely be pressed on vinyl. It's Mike Feuerstack (ex-Kepler) from Montreal, Canada with Jeremy Gara (ex-Kepler, now in Arcade Fire) and Sarah Neufeld (once again: a member of Arcade Fire). Check them out at www.myspace.com/snailhouse

Then, we'll release the new album by Mock Orange entitled Captain Love. We are thinking about doing a picture disc vinyl 12" version (like the Aloha "Light Works" 12"). What do you think. Anyone interested in this?

soon available for pre-order

Snailhouse "Lies On The Prize" CD/LP

"The impeccable songcraft, tender lyrical bent and tight guitar work remain, but what separates this record from previous Snailhouse efforts is its pop propulsion. Montreal’s Mike Feuerstack, also known for his band the Wooden Stars and myriad collaborations (Bell Orchestre, Angela Desveaux etc), reveals yet another facet of his oeuvre, this time alongside longtime partner in crime and Ottawa homie Jeremy Gara (of Arcade Fire). Steering clear of any arena bluster or faddish gimmicks, Feuerstack finds a stealthy way to give ’er like a cream-of-the crop singer-songwriter. His pretty and poignant songs about the (somewhat) simple things—love, homesickness, the sun—flow with ease, bolstered by the subtlest of strings and horns and keys. As a great war criminal/idiot savant once said, this is where “wings take dream.” 8/10 (Montreal Mirror)"

Snailhouse "Sentimental Gentleman" CD/LP

Snailhouse is an ongoing collection of songs by Montreal based artist Mike Feuerstack. Half singer-songwriter, half experimental guitar player - Feuerstack is in love with words and music and how they play together. Over the course of 5 albums and an EP, Snailhouse has earned a very loyal following all over the underground music world.

At once classic and inventive, the unique song-craft and sensibility listeners come to expect from Snailhouse takes genres both new and old and weaves them into something that can never be listened to the same way twice.

In 2008, "Do You want to Talk All Night? - A Sappy Records Tribute to Snailhouse" was released, on which many of Feuerstack's peers and fans in other bands (among them Maritime, The Acorn and Rick White) performed versions of Snailhouse songs.

Feuerstack was also a founding member art-rock band Wooden Stars, who were awarded a Juno for best alternative album for their collaboration with Julie Doiron, titled Julie Doiron and the Wooden Stars.

Mike can also be found offering his guitar and lap steel skills to the ear bending Bell Orchestre (who who have been nominated for Polaris and Juno awards), Angela Desveaux, and the Harbourcoats (the psychedelic yet rootsy band assembled to deliver the songs of Bry Webb of The Constantines).

Snailhouse music has featured contributors as diverse and renowned as Julie Doiron, Dave Draves, Angela Desveaux, members of Arcade Fire, Wintersleep, Bell Orchestre, Maritime and The Acorn - to name a few.

Pressed on 180 gram vinyl. Limited edition of 100 copies on red vinyl. Digital Download Included
