Guest Admin
Alt Ohio has done us all the favor of interviewing Jon Snodgrass and Cory Branan who just released a split LP with us. They called up both Jon and Cory and discussed the split, what we can expect in the future, their friendship, and the future of Drag the River. Check out the feature at this link http://www.altohio.com/cory-branan-and-jon-snodgrass-interview.htm Jon and Cory are doing some more shows together, here are the dates: 7/15/2009 Memphis, TN @ Hi-Tone 7/16/2009 Jonesburo, AR @ Brickhouse 7/17/2009 Fayetteville, AR @ George’s Majectic 7/18/2009 Little Rock, AR @ Whitewater Tavern While we are talking about Snodgrass, it must be mentioned that his solo album, "Visitors Band" recently received 4.5 out of 5 stars in Alternative Press. Rex Reason did a very thorough review of the album ending it by saying, "...the man's strengths are his bourbon-'n'-cigarette soaked voice and his songs, regardless of whatever genre convention sounds and instrumentation bring them to a listener." Read the entire review here http://altpress.com/reviews/visitorsband.htm#view1651 Know that we at Suburban Home fully back both releases. If you don't already own these records are haven't even heard a note, you can stream both albums with our handy dandy streaming players. If you dig, please share the stream with others. And if you do dig the records, pick them up. Both are available on vinyl and digitally, VB is also out on CD while the split is out on cassette.
