seether18244
My friend found a turntable in his parent's basement. It is an Onkyo cp-1010a. It needs a new belt and stylus. Is it good enough to warrant buying the new parts to fix versus buying a new turntable in the $100 range?
pablod85
I have a 1017a one and it works good. I'm pretty sure it's not the best turntable but I think It'll be better than a $100 new turntable.
thieves
the answer to questions like this is always YES. i just did a quick check and you can get a new belt for around $10, and the stylus will run you whatever you're willing to spend (as long as it's at least $30). so for $40 you can have a real turntable instead of a toy. anything sold new for under $200 nowadays is complete crap.
