I hope this is an awesome year for all of you and will bring you all you've ever desired. We're starting the new year in style, bringing you 2 new split 7" EPs. The two EPs are a part of a series of 4 split EPs that will come out between February and May. What the 4 records share is the fact that each of the covers is drawn by a different artist, but the 4 covers together compose a story. Once you have all 4 EPs you'll have the whole story down. The first two covers are drawn by Ed of Inked fame and Pete of Pee zine fame. You can see the drawing of the first cover if you visit our MySpace page ( www.myspace.com/goodwill ). It's our profile picture at the moment. Both records are coming out on the 14th of February (yeah, we're THAT romantic!) and you can preorder the diferent limited editions we're putting out. Here's the info: VALUES INTACT / AT HALF-MAST - split 7" EP Values Intact are back with their new Goodwill release. After their sophomore album in 2005, here are 3 brand new songs that rip hard from the first guitar chord that opens the record. Raging, fast HardCore that is screamed into your face, but played with overtones of melancholy. Their music recalls bands like Give Up The Ghost, Carry On, Count Me Out and such, although they've defined their own style in the 5 years they've been around. Veterans by all means (except by their dates of births) Values Intact offer here their most mature material so far. At Half-Mast released their debut album on Goodwill last year and they received nothing but praise so far. Fast / slow modern HardCore that mixes both Oldschool and Newschool influences, resulting into a powerful combination of sounds along the lines of Comeback Kid, Shai Hulud and Champion. Incredibly mature and complex, yet full of youthful energy (they average on 18 years of age) At Half-Mast never cease to surprise with their long, well elaborated songs whose every single second captures your attention. Also, the beautiful cover done by Pete of the Pee zine fame is the continuation of the previous split's cover. At Half-Mast never stop to amaze us with their incredible songwriting style. Here they offer complex song structures, screaming vocal style, cutting guitars and heavy, pounding drumming. Just back from their East Coast tour, here you can find their latest delivery. If curious, check their MySpace page to get a grip on what we're talking about. No Good Reason hail from Portugal and offer here 3 songs of great HardCore that mixes old and new influences. While keeping a melodic edge like Lifetime or Death Is Not Glamorous, they reminiscence of both Turning Point and early Black Flag. Hard to describe, but nevertheless an amazing band, No Good Reason will be heard of, especially after their recent successful UK tour. You cannot order these before I get to know the exact quantity, but you can reserve a copy (only 1 copy per person) with your order. These will be a couple of euros more expensive than the 2 editions listed above. You can also inquire about purchasing the test pressings for the above records, but you cannot order them before they're here and we know the exact number. As far as the two new split EPs are concerned, you can preorder these 7"s writing to [email protected] The minimum order is 2 copies beause of the postage (you can however combine either the two 7"s or the different versions as you please) and it's 12 euros postpaid in Europe or 17 dollars postpaid elsewhere for 2 copies altogether. The repress will be on black vinyl, so both versions are actually limited. Distro copies are 30% off for a minimum of 3 copies of the same record, but discount is given only on the PLAIN color vinyl. You cannot distro the SWIRLED color version. Those will be only available through preordering. You can order any of our older stuff as well.
