Zick
Every time I see someone talking about trap, I just think of trap beats and Lex Luger. I've listened to a couple of Soundclouds and most of that TNGHT EP and I'm still not sure if I fuck with this or not.
One Hundred Fifty-Two
Yeah there is a weird relationship between the two trap scenes. The hip hop community has been doing this for a long time and is the main inspiration for the electronic community but electronic music will typically use rap samples to round out their songs rather than full verse chorus verse chorus. The way I see it is rap uses trap beats to make their sound where in electronic music the beats are the song.

One Hundred Fifty-Two
Going to bump this because shit has expanded immensely over the past few months. I wake up most mornings with a trap song in my head. Going to Colorado in February to and will be seeing OG Status. Facebook blogs seem to be the easiest places to catch all the newest songs. One Hundred Fifty-Two
..what is trap? i definitely dig the tnght ep. it's gotten several plays. http://runthetrap.com/what-is-trap-music/ To simply break it down, Trap music would be best described as a recipe of; 1/3 hip hop (tempo and song structure similar) – however vocals are usually pitched lower or higher 1/3 Dutch house synths (The modern mutation of trap has seen the ‘Afrojack’ style of dutch house synth prodding become more prominent) 1/3 dub (Low frequency focus and strong emphasis on repetitiveness throughout a song) Along with a heavy use of musical and vocal samples to throw in the mix with it all

PC Music
I find trap exhausting to listen to in extended sessions. I like the odd song here and there, though.
