torres
You may have just saved local music scenes everywhere with this company. I'm hyping you up on my facebook at the moment. This may even motivate me to start a small label and press some of my friend's bands with you. Best of luck with this!
piaptk
I am trying to get it together to post a sample. I don't have a good vinyl digitization set up right now. My USB turntable has an awful weird ground hum or something when I try to rip vinyl from it. But, it is definitely on my to-do list. I'll make a concerted effort to try it again tomorrow. You can also paypal $5 to lathecutsAAATTTYAHOOOOODAWTCAWM and I will send you a pre-cut physical sample so you can see it, play it, and hear it. I'm also going to be going through my back stock of blanks to make up some discount packages so that I don't have to move the 600 lbs of plastic I have right now to Tucson. piaptk
Ok... I finally figured out how to get decent rips. You can check out Sound Samples Here: https://soundcloud.com/lathecuts I've posted samples of different genres. These are very representative of what I get on any particular day. But, every song translates differently, the plastic reacts to certain frequencies in different ways. And there are literally hundreds of variables that effect surface noise and sound quality. These should give you a good idea of how they sound!

protagonist
You're moving to Tucson?!? That's where we are based, and I have always wanted to look into doing a release(or multiple releases) this way. I would love to come see your set-up and learn from you, as well as do some business!
piaptk
Hey Protagonist, I should be set up there by early September! Let me know if you know anyone that has a space for rent... I need a studio!
piaptk
Got a new fancy website complete with sound samples and image gallery up at www.LATHECUTS.com. I won't be able to cut any new orders until Sept, but I am continuing to take orders and put them in the queue to do as soon as I get set up in Tucson. So, my turnaround time won't be as quick as usual (because packing up a studio, moving across the country, and setting the studio back up takes time!), but it will still probably be quicker and cheaper than a pressing plant! Get your orders in now!
