iammattman27
I have a Dual CS1257 that I paid $100 to repair, but the speed switch was totally busted so it only plays at 33. I have a bunch of 45 stuff I want to be able to play, but I don't want to put any more money into this thing if it's not considered a worthy investment. Any opinions on repairing the Dual vs. picking up something more worthy with the money I don't have?
moodydan
There's a guy (seller name: joeoldaudio) on eBay selling parts for your player, not everything is listed so you may have to message him and ask if he has what you need. If you can pick it up for around $20 or so and that gets your 'table running at 100%, I'd say go that route. That makes more sense to me than dropping more cash into a different/new table! iammattman27
Thanks, I'll check it out. Also interested in opinions on the general quality of the Dual. Where does it stand compared to other turntables?
