jtcohenour
A few weeks ago I purchased a 1964 RCA 4VF326 console stereo. Its a 12 tube unit with a TT that overall works very well. You can view some pics of the stereo here: http://boards.vinylcollective.com/topic/92751-thrift-store-find/ Over the last several weeks I have been sanding the unit and giving it a thorough cleaning in preparation for fresh stain and an eventual spot in my office. Should I have the unit serviced by my local radio repair facility before I move it into the house? As I said, it is working now, but I don't want to move a potential fire hazard into the house. Thanks,

jtcohenour
I have an appointment to take this unit in next week. I'm excited to get this stereo finished so I can start using it.
