eddieruckus
ok so ive been using a really shitty all in one player for the last year or so. I got it for free but it sounds fuckin awful, it gives listening to records no justice, im pretty sure im not even close to getting the quality sound I should. So I got a new table from a friend of mine , but heres my quesitons. What is the best route to getting this player amplified? I really only have 150-200 bucks to spend, if anyone can put me in the right direction that would be sweet sorry if this thread exists already somewhere
martyk36
Do you already have a decent receiver? If so, go to: http://phonopreamps.com/ I actually don't have any of these, I bought a really crappy one at circuit city, but once that one craps out I'll probably get the one on the right of the page. benchwarmer
is there such things as a decent all in one player? I honestly want to know, 'cause I need a new receiver or player...
ronniethebear
Don't bother with any of the all-in-one players if you want good sound quality. A decent turntable and receiver will do the trick far better. I personally favor 70s receivers from brands like Harman-Kardon (what I have), Marantz, Sansui, etc.
chaps
go to your local salvation army or big second hand store. theres one in the city near me and it has tons of speakers etc. etc. its usually all vintage stuff that sounds awesome (if it works)
