Absolutely it counts. Also flute isn't gender specific but I can't tell you how many male flute players I've wanted to punch out.

I was just wondering if there are any of the elites out there. As a horn player myself, I respect any person with the power to play. If not say what instrument you play but I swear to god if someone comments on this with flute and isn't female I'll take my own life.
