No, i live in a fucking Russian Federation and nobody here gives a single fuck about records, or too poor to buy them. Everyone download(steal) music for free and happy with it. You even can easily listen/upload/download music from our "facebook" ripoff. So nobody imrot records here(. And hottopic ship us records for $60. FedEx is cool, but $80 for 1 record is bit too HIGH(but i'm ok with it at last I can receive my record in 1-2 weeks and not in 30-60 days))).

Man, you and Mr. ">25" need to get a life. You guys remind me of those dudes who get to the flea market at 5am with flashlights and then block anyone else from looking through the stack once the sun comes up. Because obviously THOSE people don't know shit, otherwise they would have gotten there earlier. Or maybe you're those mouth-breathing losers who stand in the record store looking up the going rate for whateverthefuck limited EP on your phones, only putting it back once you're sure some other fool won't get something valuable.

 

Maybe you're not either of those. Maybe you're just regular, run of the mill assholes. Look, I've been buying records for many, many years. And I know that with any hobby, and especially this one, there are always going to be elitists and people who think the amount of shit in their collection puts them a level up. And to an extent, maybe it can even be justified. I've been reading this board for a long time. I bought some cool records from Virgil back when there was a store here. Back when Gaslight was good. I've been clued in on some really neat things that I definitely would have missed otherwise, because I just don't really have the time to scavenge the internet for pre-orders. This place is great. I really dig the help you all offer one another when it comes to finding things or shipping them or going to a show and buying a tour exclusive for someone who really wants it. That's awesome, and I thought that was the point of this place. But there's a limit to that fraternity, isn't there. That isn't available to someone who just got here because obviously, they haven't put in as much time and money as you, right? Therefore, fuck them. That's cool, and it's your prerogative to think on those terms.

 

But you have to understand that it makes you a jerkoff. You have to realize that. Basically, I think it's important to remember that you're posting in a thread about a Fall Out Boy record being sold at Hot Topic. So with that in mind, I'm seriously suggesting that you take a step back and get the fuck over yourselves.

You've called me fool or something, Ok, I'm collecting records for 2 years. I've got ~100 records in my collection (7",10",12") that cost me $3.000(!!!) and $1.000-1.500 was only spent for the shipping, but this is not the point of my rage and shit. I was waiting this release to come out for ~2 month, collecting money and shit. And you know what? I cant fucking buy it now! Not because I dont want to pay standart $60 shipping cost, not because i want to USEHOTCASHCOUPONS, THAT I HAVE IN MY HANDS, its because in my freaking country we don't have hottopic or even another shop that sells records. Oh wait, we do have! If you want 7" for ~$70 you're welcome there! I cant step out from my house and wak around the corner to buy "some records". No I have to sit and freaking wait until they go online and then pay more, than they cost in 2-3 times. That's why I'm frustrated and sad

So this may or may not be news Figured I'd post this as a bit of info.

I called all the Connecticut Hot Topic stores asking about their vinyl sections. All responded that they were small (okay so far the same)

Every time I was asked if I wanted to order the records I was looking for online and do in-store pick up, To which I told them about the debacle with the person who was using all the hot cash to buy out all the vinyl on the online store and the vinyl section being taken down, No one had a clue about it going on. 

Move onto me calling the Manchester Hot Topic. Guy is super friendly and had first shed of news on Fall out boy HT exclusive pressing. Apparently only 3 stores in CT got it, It "supposedly" came out a week ago and it is currently sold out already. 

Now this could be his way of just getting me to shut up. But if what he says is truly the case, that would blow.

Alright so what are the facts here?  For those of us who still want to pick up this record and pick it up online on the hot topic website.. how long does hot cash run for? I mean it's not like 1,500 copies of this record are going to be sold in stores and not be put up online once this is over, right?

hot cash 1/17-1/27 i think, that we will see FUTCT online, I think that they will be reserved for online sales or so.

But its FOB, TTTYG (~800 copies) were sold in a few days...

I can't imagine that the reason they decided to remove vinyl from the promotion is due to flippers. They had to have lost a lot of money on previous Hot Cash runs in regards to vinyl. Personally, I think the whole preventing people from flipping reason is just an excuse to come off as sympathetic and to save face. But I could be wrong.

I thought about it too. but then I remembered post in this threat about guy on ebay selling From Under The Cork Tree from hottopic at higher price. It was month ago I suppose.

 

Gee I wish I knew which store around me actually carried vinyl instead of driving around to each mall to try to figure it out...if they are going to make me redeem hotcash for vinyl purchases in store then all stores should carry vinyl...

 

 

If every shop will carry records, there will be no records online and 2-3 records in stores, because as i know hottopic sell's only their records, which they press in limited numbers, and near 700 shops to distribute them.

I think, we shouldnot be mad at HT/Travis, we should be mad at that fuckfaces, who buy tons of records and then resell them(i hope it's the real reason).
