  1. There's a record store on Del Prado in the cape called rainbow records. not much new stuff, but a ton of decently priced old stuff. as far as entertainment goes, cape is pretty boring. there's a pool hall called rack ems on 47th terrace that has a pretty awesome craft beer selection, but that's about it. downtown fort myers is pretty close to cape, and there are a lot of bars and restaurants there. also a vintage store with another decent selection of older vinyl. their record guy just bought an estate sale of classic punk records so there's a lot of that in there. if you make it downtown, i'm the bar manager of a coffee shop / bar called the United Cafe. stop in and ask for Thom and i'll recommend some other places to check out in the area
  2. any suggestions where to get these made? the band i work with is looking to order some, but we're having trouble finding a decent source. thanks, -Thom
  3. My name is Thom Nobles, and I book shows for a few different venues in Fort Myers, Florida. The city makes a great stop for bands travelling between the Tampa and Miami areas. Feel free to message me on here, or through my email address listed below, if your band (or if you know of a band) might be passing through and looking to play a show and have some fun. Thanks, -Thom [email protected]

  6. same thoughts here. i picked it up when they played in Fort Myers last week. They covered The Misfits, which is always a good time. I spoke to Kris after the show and he said they still have to record most of the album. He isn't sure what label he wants to put it out on, but depending on how the 7 inch sells he may do it through P&P. He also said he wrote something like 22 songs for the album, and that whatever songs don't make the album he would like to keep releasing on 7 inches afterwards.
  7. i saw a bunch of people on stage recording the frank turner set, but i haven't been able to find any of the footage. anybody know where some has been posted? best thing i saw all weekend was my buddy pass out on top of the ice chest outside of the kangaroo gas station across from the holiday inn
  8. i'm interested, as i have sunday off. however, Gville is about a 5ish hour drive from me. what does a vinyl fiesta consist of?
  9. aaaannnnnd they're up. threw on the time bomb 7" as well. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190441527179&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190441529722&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190441531192&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT
  10. well, that will definitely help with my student loan payments. i have a copy of each that i'm willing to part with, together or separately. i'd rather sell to someone from this board, but if not i'll throw them up on ebay. both records have been played only a few times, but you wouldn't be able to tell as they still look brand new.
  11. Anybody know if Dog Problems or the Snails EP are still bringing in decent $ on Ebay?
  12. exactly. which is why i would have to shoot for internet promotion and sales. and possibly distros, although interpunk is really the only one i can think of who would be interested in carrying this type of music. any distros you guys can suggest for me to send demos, to see if they'd be interested in carrying it?
  13. Hey friends I'm considering putting out some vinyl for a local reggae band, but after reading the "how to" thread I'm having doubts as to my ability to sell it one it gets pressed. In general, I trust the ears of the people on this board. If any of you could give the two tracks on their myspace a listen, and provide some feedback, I would really appreciate it. http://www.myspace.com/officialcommonground Thanks, Thomas
  14. They were fucking epic live, Crawling all over the walls and ceiling he was. Saw them in Flint once. My friends and I built a human pyramid in front of the stage, which Marc Paffi climbed to the top of for the yelling at the end of "Bloodgiver." Favorite concert moment so far.
  15. i'll probably go again just to see tool (plus dan auerbach, fleet foxes and a few others) but the headliners just don't top last year's trifecta of Radiohead, Rage and NIN
  16. I'm not really worried about getting paid at this point. Right now I'm just looking for an entertainment outlet to write for so I can keep gaining experience and building my resume.
  17. Hey everybody, My name is Thomas Nobles. I'm currently a senior at Florida Gulf Coast University majoring in communications and creative writing. 18. It figures I'd read this RIGHT AFTER ordering one. Seriously.
  19. Will the specific sales be announced, or treasure hunt styled sort of like the OOP stuff was around Christmas?
  20. can anyone provide pics of the coffee project vinyl? i'm curious to see how the three variations look.
  21. i'm going to see HWM at the house of blues on saturday. anybody know of decent record stores near the venue? also, is anybody else going to the show?
  22. have Self Medication or the International War Criminal ep ever been released on vinyl? and, if not, are there any plans to do so?
