Yup. I love how it's what passes as "Alt-Rock" these days.
I am baffled when I see "indie rock" on a list and it's all Brooklyn hipster synth pop

I have a drumkit that's been gathering dust in my basement and I've been meaning to get back on the horse again. Do you have any music online I can check out?
Nope I haven't been committed to anything since high school playing No Use rip off stuff! Just itching to get back into it
-
Had only heard Foster the People from their hit, saw them on the Coachella stream, hate this whole American Apparel synth pop movement that won't go away.

Anybody in the CLE area play instruments/want to jam? I was trying to commute to Columbus to write with my old drummer and it's not working. Craigslist is filled with embarrassment haha.
Influenced by Built To Spill, Pavement, Pedro the Lion, poppier stuff like Elvis Costello, older Foo Fighters and tons more. Nothing written so far, just want to get started again.
-
Yeah I actually don't sell anything, to my own detriment haha. I have a bunch of stuff I don't want or need but am too lazy to make a thread or eBay it.
Charles is a good dude I definitely understand him on that
-
Yeah maybe I'll try Square or something this year.
My Minds Eye dude doesn't seem stoked about the whole thing haha (understandably so)

Transplanted last year from Columbus to Lakewood, I miss my cbus record stores all being so close to each other !
Getting used to the stores here. Have to get a game plan together for RSD, I only want a few things, record den was packed last year.

Finally got around to playing Bioshock Infinite, ending blew my feeble little brains out
-
Will entertain when can hear clips!

It has a lot of mirror traffic but something is different, it's a little more stretched out and jammy, without getting borderline prog like Emotional Trash.
I'm sad to say I liked the original vocals and lyrics for Houston Hades better than the album version. They've been playing it live for almost a year and I was so stoked on it.

Yep went out and grabbed it yesterday! Loving it so far

I found an Omnichord in my grandparents house oddly enough around the time Omni from Minus The Bear came out so I messed with it a while but never felt like using it since they used it on their album so much haha
Grandpa got it at a yard sale and said he thought it was a Walkman

I loved the last two. Rot, Gut definitely had to grow on me but I dig it.
Birds is one of my favorite Margot songs

Just stumbled across this while digging at My Minds Eye in Lakewood, wasn't expecting it at all. Mine is Turquoise and I love it.
Saw them with Bad Books last year, they never clicked for me until then. Big fan

I don't know why I didn't think to search it, I guess I figured it'd be obsolete as most of the gems of the Drive Thru era are
Thanks

Hooooooray!
Love that casiotone song, my fiancé said it was bringing her down so I put prince and LCD back on
-
Love you guys.
-
I just put some daft on a playlist, LCD soundsystem too
-
Gonna have a few friends over for celebration, what are you guys playing for parties? Gonna have to throw on the Walkmen and dismemberment plan at some point.
Just curious what songs/artists/albums you guys think of!
-
Definitely would love some Rx Bandits and the all-time greatest Drive Thru release, Homegrown - Kings of Pop
-
Those guitars are backwards bro.
Nice setup overall!
-
I'd take a fucking Jenoah CD at this point, I lost my copy years back
Some Rx would be nice

Randy and Brendan Walsh are great, funny dudes. Love that these guys are using social media for something other than just telling one liners
Shit on bands here
