Good to hear! Thanks for the info!
-
Awesome. Is it translucent blue or opaque?
-
No shipping to anywhere outside the US? Silly.
I believe they fixed that issue if you're still interested in it. I'm supposed to get mine in the mail tomorrow, really excited about this project.
-
Shipping loophole: don't use "check out with paypal". Do regular checkout and then you get $6 media mail - and you can still use PayPal there.
-
Damn, $16 shipping for two of them
-
Just got mine! Looked on tumblr and it looks like everyone got different assortment of postcards, since my set hasn't been exact to any other set I've seen posted
-
Is there anything noteworthy about the packaging? Like an insert or anything? Just curious
-
Same here! Excited to get this. Haven't even listened to the mp3 version of the EP yet now that I think about it....

Those looking for fun., it sounds like some will be online. They did that for Ghost You Are a couple RSDs ago.
Get your copy at an independent record store near you on April 19th. You can see a partial store list here, but we’d suggest calling the store near you in advance. We’re working on figuring something out for everyone who doesn’t have an independent record store near them. -
Maybe cause it's very different from torches? None of my friends dig it for that reason, to them it's not as fun. I only really liked 3/4 of torches myself. Also a lot of reviewers are saying it's a cd full of rip-off vampire weekend and mgmt songs. I can kinda see the Mgmt in this album, but honestly if it's a rip-off it's better than anything that band ever put out.
I feel like they couldn't win, if it were similar to Torches people would say they're putting out the same album twice. I don't listen to VW so I don't know if they are putting out something that already exists, I guess it is sort of similar to MGMT but I hadn't made that association right off the bat.

I'm really surprised that all of the critics really don't like it. I know critic reviews are to be taken with a grain of salt but Alt Press gave it one star out of five.
-
Found this at my record store for $17 today. Ridiculous that the preorder was so much more for the same exact record.
-
If anyone wants to help me out, I'm looking for fun's Point and Light. If you spot a copy and wouldn't mind picking it up I would compensate you for your trouble. I'll be keeping an eye out for some of the titles mentioned here.
-
I think I'm gonna wait til it's in the store but man, this album rules. I can't wait to play it away from iTunes.

Sam Means– ''Blues Jeans'' (ft. Anthony Green) b/w ''Found 7" - 500 pressed
How cool is this? That's awesome for Sam. (It's a Lana Del Rey cover btw.) I hope I can find a copy of this.

If it makes you happy, I'm another one. I had heard "She Doesn't Get It", but that was about as far as I ever got into their catalog. When I saw this thread, I decided to grab Dog Problems on a whim, and I've been in love with it since it showed up. Convinced me to get a copy of Swans, and just yesterday I grabbed a copy of I&L (they'd been out of stock for a minute, had to wait).
Love that! If you haven't heard I&L yet you will love it if you enjoyed DP. I'm split evenly between them but I know a lot of people around here have said they prefer I&L. I recommend checking out At The Wake posted above and that whole EP, and the Snails EP since Janet is another great track.
Also recently I asked Sam if Snails EP would see a repressing and he said anything's possible, so fingers crossed to that.
-
Also, believe it or not, this is my very first time hearing these songs. I never gave these guys a chance before I saw how great everything looked and how much people love them on here. Also, I REALLY don't like Fun. So that kind of put me off of giving them a listen for a while. Glad I finally gave in!
Damn. As a devoted fan of theirs it makes my day to read this. These albums have been huge for me and I've always wanted them to reach as many ears as possible.

“I WANNA GET BETTER” limited edition blue vinyl featuring an exclusive remix by Vince Clarke. Only 1,000 copies of these will be pressed. Order now at the Bleachers official store:
http://www.myplaydirect.com/bleachers/details/29627739
Came to about $10 after shipping for me.
For those unaware, Bleachers is Jack Antonoff's (fun./Steel Train) side-project. This track is awesome, supposed to be released as a single next month as well. Listen here: https://soundcloud.com/bleachers/i-wanna-get-better

No tracking updates or it hasn't even shipped yet? I finally got an update on mine an hour ago from AZ to IL but no updates in between.
-
My tracking hasn't been updated outside of Phoenix AZ but it's supposed to be here tomorrow. I can't wait to get this. I'm surprised the demos haven't found their way online yet
-
Man that's really weird! I'll cross my fingers that it's still on the way
-
Apparently I was within the first 100 pre-ordered (not sure how since I ordered way late).
Can I ask HOW late? I ordered within the first 15 minutes it was on sale and haven't received one. kinda bummed! I'm sure 15 minutes is enough for 100+ to sell but considering how slow these sold I thought my chances weren't so bad.
-
The piano print is a better shot.....but I think the confetti one would be cooler to have since it's not the same as the album art

Mine came in a box.
But yeah it was initially on the RSD list, I remember seeing it too. I think it might just be a regular release on April 19 now.
